Terrible experience!
The owner criticized me for "staying too long" in the place and "only having a coffee", but when I asked for anything else to eat, he told me they had nothing to offer but some insanitary bread sitting there for hours.
When I showed I was paying with a card, he immediately frowned and started mumbling about my audacity to only have a coffee and wanting to pay by card, as the establishment's """minimum""" was 15 Euro. Him and his family of co-owners then proceeded to mutter as I insisted I unfortunately had no other way of paying.
It escalated from a matter of payment to one of extreme disrespect with the customer, as they kept yelling the "machine does not work udner 15 Euro", making no effort to try to find an easy solution for both of us. He turned his back and kept watching the game while yelling at me to go somewhere to find an ATM and solve the issue myself.
Basic manners and cordiality were definitely not thaught to the owner and his family, and I hope no other customer is treated the same way.
Additionally: Small place, dirty appearence, no menu, nothing to eat.
Check how they respond to customers in these very evaluations, thinking they are always right, to know how unpolite and full of themselves they are.
Watch soccer games on your phone, but avoid this place at all costs.
For the owner: If you like watching TV so much, close your mediocre bar and go home. You can do that in your sofa without having to mistreat...
Read moreFriendly, great prices, but something just didn't quite add up.
Firstly, let get to the price which is important if you are visiting Paris considering drinking alcohol in the city is pretty expensive.
We visited when PSG were playing Monacco in the final so the bar had happy hour (a phrase that gets thrown around a lot in Paris). A bottle of beer was €3 which is an incredible price considering "happy hour" in Paris means €6. Overall, cheap to drink. On A normal day you'll see prices go to €5.
Size - it's tiny. Great for football fans (PSG) so you'll get the real PSG experience with its small environment.
Atmosphere - as above, it's all PSG. When PSG scored there was a true football atmosphere with everyone cheering, chanting and the owner pulling out a vuvuzela to blast and really make you laugh. However...you feel out of place if you are from a different country.
Now it may have been just us but everyone spoke French (undertandably) but whenever the locals on the bar heard English, you were made to feel like speaking the language was out of practice, bit like being on edge. The owners were perfect hosts but some of the older generation of PSG fans were clearly not impressed the we "impeded" on their normal environment. Just something to consider.
Overall, due to us not being bothered, we really did have a laugh and although we didn't understand every word, you can't beat a good atmosphere, football focussed and cheap bar...
Read moreWe passed by this bar to watch a football game and have a good time with friends. Although the place seems local and the screens are well positioned the vibes given by the owner of the bar are not the most welcoming. It is fine to cheer for a team and mock a bit the clients when their team is loosing. It is instead inappropriate swearing constantly at the screen, argue and make impolite comments to the clients just because they support the other team. We did not go there to argue and to listen the owner of the bar screaming at us. We went there to watch football and have a good evening. Plus, he made us paying a beer we did not drink. I guess we will head somewhere...
