Fantastic wine bar with some delectable cuisine as well. It is tied to L’Ebauchoir across the street and the bartender at Le Siffleur takes your order and then somehow prepares the food items himself with no help or little help. Wine suggestions have been on point although be prepared to speak some French as their English was non existent this time. Octopus starter was delicious- one of my favorite items on this trip to Paris! Simple ham and cheese sandwich with a salad was also lovely. However, despite my friends and I being the only party at the restaurant that evening we struggled to find ways to grab the attention of the staff (mainly because we didn't know which ones were staff and which were friends of the staff). Le Siffleur de Ballons, avec Denis aux commandes, est un véritable bijou pour les amoureux de bon vin et de délicieus tapas. C'est l'endroit idéal où s'échapper lors des longues soirées d'hiver. L'ambiance y est si chaleureuse qu'on aimerait y passer tout l'hiver, blotti près du comptoir avec un verre de rouge à la main et une assiette de tapas dans l'autre, à regarder la buée des souffles chauds s'étendre sur les vitres.

En semaine, c'est encore mieux ; le calme règne, offrant une atmosphère intime et conviviale. On se sent chez soi, entouré d'amis, dans un cocon de douceur où le temps semble suspendu.

Denis, animé par une passion contagieuse pour le vin, et son chef expérimenté nous régalent avec des mets variés et originaux. La carte change souvent, mais la qualité reste constante.
