Les Enfants Perdus — Restaurant in Paris

This is just what I expected and more. The Holiday Inn Gar de Lest reccomended this place, so we walked on over. WOW, the food was great, and the wine was superb. The waiter spoke some english and wife some french so things went pretty smooth. We just took his recocomendations and had a great meel, so we went back the next day. The next day was even better. We have been about 10 times over the past few years. Never had a bad meal. We took suggestions for wine and all were great. The suggestion were never the most expensive, and many were the cheapest. Lunch was usualy about 40 to 50 dollars and that included a few bottles of wine. The food was a mix of old and new world. Some items were served on Stone plates and that was really cool. We went on Valentines day, no reservations and they let us in, because we had been so much. Set us up a little table and had a wonderful meal. The owner and staff seem to like Americans and will try to speak English, but come on and learn some French. Go at least one while you are there, make lunch your big meal, it is a lot cheaper and you will be very happy you took...

Saturday night, dinner for 2, booked the table a couple of weeks ahead. I had heard about this place from several people and indeed it was pretty full! Booking is highly recommended.

Let's start with the food: Octopus carpaccio to start and share - tiny plate but very tasty. We shared because we weren't very hungry so the size really wasn't a problem. Salmon tataki and another fish plate (don't remember the name) - both really good, sauces were fantastic and overall well cooked. We did not have any desert.

Drinks: We ordered a couple of cocktails to start, a Negroni and a Smoked Margarita, both were really really good. My husband asked for a wine recommendation with his fish, the glass he got was aligned with the ask.

Service: It felt like we were transported away from Paris. Every single human being working there was welcoming, nice, with a touch of fun, efficient, and happy.

Price: All the above for 99 euros. I cannot remember ever paying less than a 100 for 2 anywhere in this city (we've been living here for over 5...

10/10 Cannot recommend enough. We made this reservation based on a ChatGPT suggestion. It was amazing. We loved it so much, we made a second reservation for later in our 2 week stay. Both experiences were fantastic. During our first experience, our server Laurie was phenomenal with suggestions. She picked the best white wine we had while in France. Every dish we had was unbelievable. My favorite was filet de bœuf, poêlé, pommes de terre au four, sauce au poivre, os à mœlle, and my husband loved the rôti de veau - cuit 6h, fricassée de légumes, amandes, jus de veau. The trio de crèmes brulées is to die for. The atmosphere is sophisticated and relaxed. They have two dinner services, so be sure to give yourself time to enjoy every bite!
