Café A — Restaurant in Paris

Unfortunately, our experience at this café was very disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we weren’t welcome. Once the staff realized we weren't from France, their attitude immediately shifted to annoyance. The French people in the restaurant got free water, we did not.

Service was incredibly poor. Our drinks were placed on the table with such force that one of them spilled. The waiter saw it happen and simply walked away without offering to clean it up.

The chai latte was especially disappointing, it tasted like plain milk with just a hint of chai, definitely not what you’d expect from a proper chai latte. As for the food, while the French toast tasted good, the portion was tiny and absolutely not worth the €10 price tag. The same goes for the yogurt with granola: small portion, overpriced, and not filling at all.

To top it off, all the staff we interacted with were rude and dismissive throughout our visit. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place truly left a bad impression. Which is sad because the place itself...

This used to be a nice place. But then something's changed. We came hungry at 17.00, understanding that it's too early to order diner, so we asked for some snacks to tame the hunger - like chips, nuts, tartines. We were refused. We couldn't take a dessert either. Staff wasn't interested to serve us, seemed like they were putting this responsibility on each other without a will to proceed. In the end we ordered co fee - the waiter brought them being already spilled all over the cup into a cup plate it came with. It spilled more when we were drinking it because the table in the restaurant was unstable, shaking with uneven legs. The last drop was the bathrooms - no paper, no soap, tons of paper and water on the bathrooms floors. Train station public toilets look cleaner than this. Will...

So, we have arrived almost 15 mins before opening which is at 12h now. However, they eventually opened at 12h09 not a big deal if you’re not hungry. The atmosphere was really lovely having to eat in a sort of a garden surrounded by trees and lights. My only disappointment there was food. We’ve got two different plates. Quantity was fair enough. Big egg muffin which didn’t look like muffin in anyway, more of toasted buns. And avocado toast that was “ok”. The dressings for both side salads were exactly the same.
