Margaretti — Restaurant in Paris

Loads of expectation from that charming decor and location. The menu certainly over extended left us so short of hope. Cahotique service, delayed courses on our table. That's something that needs serious improvement.

But that was predictable with a menu so large. So much choice than the chefs couldn't keep up with the restaurant full. Pizza, pasta, maybe ten choices of each plus other main courses.

Put that aside, the food was ok but not great. Some very good products no doubt, but such bad amateur cooking. Worse of worse is the seasonings which were barely inexistent.

When you cook pasta .... please put some salt in the cooking water. Simple basic of Italian cooking.

To sum up.... don't be fooled by the trendy décor. We will maybe come back to this restaurant when the full concept and chefs will be changed. Simplicity and seasonings should be key for...

Absolutely overrated. Service is extremely slow. One waitress is serving to whole restaurant. It was very difficult to bring her attraction even for water refills. Wine selection is poor for a restaurant in Paris. We ordered white wine and been told there was not ice bucket to keep it cool after opening. Food is not bad but nothing special. I would try another Italian restaurant if you don't really need to...

We entered to test it but the first thing we found was the carbonara wirh the crème fraiche... A sign that the place is not really Italian. Me and my friend ordered shrimps with zucchini... Very spicy, eatable but not italian again. And we finished with coffee... But it was a terrible experience.
