Book a table ASAP! This restaurant has one of the most amazing homemade food of Paris. The place is run by a couple, the husband in the kitchen and the wife in service. Let me tell you the talent of him and the look for detail of her will make you enjoy their food to its highest levels. The local is thought to detail, the distribution of tables, menu, decoration and it is such a pleasant experience at such an affordable price. I talked to my partner that such place could have more workers, more tables to get more money... but then is when it hit us, they love their job as a small restaurant with few tables to give the best service and provide with the best quality food to those that are fortunate enough to pass by... if I were you I would book as soon as possible, because this kind of place will become like those michelin star places where you have to wait months for a table!! We ordered aperol spritz and the special 'Masa Madre' with passion fruit flavour (sweater than the normal spritz and amazingly fresh). As a starter we ordered their homemade humus with artichoke and dried tomatoes. The portion was perfect to share and tasted like perfection accompanied with the best focaccia you will find in Paris. The meal followed 2 different types of homemade pasta: Ragú bianco and Gnocchi alla Sorrentina... the portions were similar to what you grandma serves you when you go to visit, and for that I am grateful because if full you can always ask for a tupper to go and enjoy it the next day (which was what I did and my only regret was not ordering an extra focaccia portion to complement the pasta with). Finally for dessert we ordered their homemade Tiramisu Masa Madre which was so light and tender to the mouth that although we felt really full by the dessert, we felt like ordering more. You can check the ticket or their menu in the web for prices, but we ate for 35€ each a really high quality food. I'm looking forward to tasting their pizzas because the word is: the dough is FANTASTIC and the ingredients...
Read moreWe visited Masa Madre with our family and were absolutely blown away. At first glance, from the outside, it looked like a cozy (sourdough) pizzeria, but once inside, we quickly realized it was so much more.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful soft color tones and natural materials like rattan and knitted art. The welcome was equally warm, genuine and heartfelt. You can tell that everything here is prepared with love and care.
The menu had just been updated the day before, and we were lucky to try a brand-new creation: the 'La Forêt' pizza. A vegetarian pizza featuring e.g. caramelized onions, artichokes, pear, and truffle. Wow, the complex flavours where absolutely delicious! I’m not supposed to say this, but my wife literally had tears in her eyes because it was that good.
At €28, it’s not the cheapest pizza, but it's absolutely worth it. A must-try for anyone who appreciates food made by heart and is willing to try...
Read moreThe best culinary experiences are the unexpected ones. I randomly walked into this place and had such an amazing experience. The food was spectacular. The ceviche with paprika was original and delicious and the pizza was simply “the best pizza in Paris”. I felt like I was eating home-cooked meal at a friend’s house. The owner was genuinely nice and passionate about the quality of the...
