The service here was just awful. We walked in and four employees were standing there, one eating food out of the service window, and not a single one deigned to greet us. After an awkward pause we walked up to the desk and said that we had a reservation. We were taken into the dining room where it was us, another table, and what appeared to be a large group. The children involved with the large group were running around the restaurant coughing and screaming with not a single person bothering to do anything about it. We waited ten minutes before someone finally came to tell us that there wasn't a physical menu but instead it was online. We then waited another 45 minutes for someone to come and take our order. No wine, no food, nothing was offered to us. No apology for making us wait that long. The restaurant was clearly not terribly busy and although I understand the dining culture in France is slower than what I am accustomed to I have never felt so unwanted in a restaurant. The food was good (really how hard is it to screw up cheese and bread) but the service is enough to make this entirely a one star restaurant. Also, as we were leaving we discovered the park gates had been locked and we could not go out the way we came in. We were then escorted out by security where we then saw a man from the restaurant down at the gate presumably stopping people from getting back in. No word as we were leaving that we may...
Read morepulled up with my girlfriend and had some drinks, as Americans visiting a lovely city like Paris, every establishment I enter I try to show as much respect as possible and attempt to speak the language to the best of my ability
Rightfully understanding the entitlement of many Americans, I try to make a point to be as far from that stereotype as possible.
I give respect everywhere I go, no matter the place.
We loved the vibe, however the staff is wack, terrible attitudes, purposefully not fulfilling orders and playing dumb.
I know many Americans have no shame, and I am ashamed to share nationality with such clowns, but we are not all the same.
All the parisians I’ve met have been quite lovely, and it’s important for me to have a sense of camaraderie with every person on this globe, we are better together rather than apart. But with attitudes like this, it’s despicable. I would never buy into the stereotypes you commonly hear about parisians, and will still continue to consider the French an allly in spite of the lame, stuck up and unfriendly staff at such a nice establishment.
Given the surrounding area and vibes of staff I can only assume the staff is full of gentrifying & self aggrandizing people so full of it they will never be part of something bigger than themselves. Does not seem to be an inclusive establishment.
Pretty crazy to hear this coming from an American from NYC,...
Read moreDon’t go there in the evening. The place is packed, you have to wait literally 30 minutes for each drink. The service is really bad. You also have to wait in line for the bathroom, they are only two toilets for women, one of them has two stalls but in the same bathroom… We also waited for 30 minutes to get tacos and then when we finally got to the counter, they took a 20 minutes break. We were not able to get any food. I don’t recommend this place, they take advantage of the good location and good looking place, but you can seat in the free park outside of it with food and drinks and have a...
