Sunny — Restaurant in Paris

We came to this place because we thought it looked so nice. We where sat at a table by one of the waiters only to have the next waiter tell us that we where not supposed to sit there but “for this time” he would let it go. As if we just sat there without asking? After he said that he just walked away without asking if we wanted to see the menu. Another colleague came and gave us the menu without greeting us or smiling, he actually seemed annoyed at us for no reason, his attitude was very degrading and unpleasant, when we said we wanted a croissant he just said no and gave us a arrogant weird look, after staring at us like that he said, we don’t have them anymore. So we wanted something else but they also didn’t have that. He really gave us the feeling that everything we said was wrong and weird and did not smile but just looked at us annoyed and giving us a really unsettling feeling. After giving the third rude response to my pregnant friend, we just stood up and left. I’ve never been to a place where all the staff made me feel so uncomfortable and unwanted, if you enjoy good service and most of all friendly service, than don’t go here. Came here super hungry after a work-out and had the Veggie Wok with beef & noodles, absolutely delicious! Very cosy and hip interior, love the design & lots of cool items on the menu that I’d love to try. // On another visit, lunchtime, we had the wild salmon and entrecôte, both excellent! You can choose between four side-dishes (included in the price): fries, oven-roasted potatoes, roasted veggies or salad. The potatoes were not amazing, flavour was a little watery, maybe they were cooked before roasting? We got them exchanged for French fries, lots better! The salad was good, but a bit overloaded with dressing, will ask to have it on the side next time. The entrecôte seems too pricey at 31,-, we expected it to be more special, taste was good though. // Can’t wait to try the brunch as well. . . although I do avoid Sat/Sundays as all the brunch places get way too busy to have good service, so maybe just try some breakfast items at some point...

Sunny is a pleasant bistro outside the main entrance of Parc des buttes-Chaumont and great place to rest the feet while enjoying good food and refreshing rose after touring the park. Service was very good with attentive, friendly wait staff. The toast covered with smoked salmon, avocado and poached egg was nicely presented with tasty chopped tomato, arugula, and a savory dipping sauce, pink in color but not at all sweet or fruity which paired nicely with the generously poured glass of wine. Healthy vegetarian salad featured crisp lettuce, feta cheese and several types of organic vegetables nicely composed. Obligatory post-meal espresso exuded strong coffee flavors. Mostly local patrons with French spoken at all tables except one. Interestingly this establishment features American Western cowboy decor in the back of interior space and stairways leading to the restrooms. We enjoyed a nice time here and will return if visiting...
