Soces Restaurant: A Culinary Triumph
Our recent visit to Soces Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the meal was a grand success. The amuse-bouche oyster shooter set the tone for an exciting dining experience with its incredible flavors.
The tuna carpaccio was absolutely out of this world, and the beef tartare served with homemade chips left me craving more. Both dishes showcased remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail. The cheese board, featuring four unusual and delightful cheeses, was a unique and rewarding adventure for the palate.
For the main course, the generous serving of mussels with French fries in a rich butter cream sauce was divine. Despite feeling extremely full, it was difficult to stop eating this indulgent dish. We concluded the meal with beautifully creamy coffees, which offered a smooth and satisfying end to an unforgettable evening.
The service staff at Soces was nothing short of extraordinary. The entire staff worked together so seamlessly that it felt like a well-choreographed performance. Rather than being served by just one waiter, it was clear that the entire team took responsibility for our experience. Each member was attentive, personable, and made sure our needs were met at every moment. Their coordination and care truly elevated the dining experience.
Soces Restaurant delivered on every level, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a truly special...
Read moreWe had a strange experience at soces. The dishes were inconsistent. Several of the dishes were delicious. Pork shoulder leeks fish burger and tuna. Some Dishes were good. We thought it was a strange combination of items. Tuna seemed out of sync and although we liked both the tuna and fish burger they seemed to belong to a different meal. A few things we felt were really not enjoyable. The cockles mushrooms and the puntarelle salad with the pork dish. The puntarelle in particular was kind of inedible. We had a few different servers. One was extremely unfriendly. The other was nice enough but when she misunderstood that we had ordered the pork shoulder, told us we’d have to wait 30 minutes for the rest of our meal. And there was no real apology or attempt to make the situation right with us. That also seemed odd to us. Overall it was a pleasant meal but did not reach our expectation. the service was a very large part of that. And then the inconsistencies of the food on the menu - both quality-wise...
Read moreSo glad we were able to get a last minute table of four at Soces. What a perfect restaurant. Food was creative, smart and evocative, with some excellent cookery skills and top notch produce on show. The restaurant itself was very well designed and the atmosphere was merry, convivial and casual.
Excellent cocktails were on offer, as well as an intriguing, natural/low intervention focused wine list. As someone that is slightly prejudiced against some ‘natural’ wines, the wine list at soces provided some thought provoking, and gastronomically inclined wines that i’m glad I had the chance to try. Particularly impressed with the Pierre Frick Pinot Gris late harvest.
To talk about the service: it met a perfect balance between service and hospitality. Our waiter was equally efficient as he was charming and knowledgable.
Really hard to fault this place, only wish I lived a...
