I'd normally give this 4 stars for the food itself but I don't want to drag the average down - for Paris this is as good as it gets for tacos but there's still some room for improvement.
The guacamole was fantastic, it's a simple dish but one that a lot of places make lackluster. Excellent topotos that came with it, could have used more!
I came for the al pastor as it's hard to get in Europe and it was good but even though a trompo is present, you couldn't really tell. It was too soft and saucy. But it had excellent flavor. The chorizo and queso taco was also delicious as was the salsa verde that had some heat!
Service was great and the michelada was perfect. My friend really liked the nopales taco, was so so on the mushrooms. (but tacos are not really ideal for non-meat eaters, although rajas en crema would be a tasty option!)
My biggest complaint was the tortillas. They just tasted store bought and were a bit hard, clearly not warmed up on the griddle. A fresher source of tortillas would really up the ante but I know, it's Europe and such things are hard to obtain.
Price performance ratio was excellent for Paris! All in all a great experience despite...
Read moreFinally some authentic Mexican tacos in Paris! I'm Mexican and I had been looking for Mexico City style tacos in Paris for a long time and I just found them here! I visited the place twice this month with my best friend who's also Mexican and two other friends and we couldn't be happier with the flavours and the friendly, almost family style service from the owner Valentine (who came to our table to introduce herself and check everything was right) and her staff. I particularly enjoyed the Taco al Pastor, the Taco Meshica, the best Guacamole I've had (besides my grandmother's of course) and the Mezcal&Berries cocktail (loaded with mezcal and flavour). The artisanal Mexican beer, unique in Paris, is delicious too. I even bought a cool Virgen María shirt. I'm coming...
Read moreThe best Mexican tacos in Paris. Great staff, everything was fantastic, and their clothing is really cool and high quality. But definitely don't miss the tacos. The horchata and ceviche were fine, I wouldn't get them again. Definitely ask for their hot sauce if you can handle spice, it's smoky and delicious. Guacamole is good, and the cake is great but not very Mexican. The ambiance is great, and their music selection is available on Spotify as a playlist called Barrio Meshica. Overall a great experience and I will be...
