Thaï Viet Gourmet — Restaurant in Paris

To start, we found a cockroach (or some other critter) in our Beef Pho, a picture is included. Alongside the beef pho, we got shrimp egg rolls, beef salad (we were hoping it was larb), sticky rice, and salt and pepper shrimp. The egg rolls were fine, the salt and pepper shrimp came unpeeled and wasn’t crispy enough to consume the shell, requiring the need to peel. The portion too was tiny, literally taking up only a quarter of the plate. When the insect was discovered in the pho, the server took the plate we had placed it on and brought the same plate back out, just removing the insect but maintaining the food. We left immediately after the discovery, and he removed the pho from the bill, but gave us no discount and didn’t comp anything even though our food had not been fully consumed. Due to the ratings of this establishment, we were looking forward to dining here. Needless to say, we were quite horrified and pray we don’t get ill. We ate at an establishment down the street after we left, therefore spending more money to have dinner after paying full price for potentially contaminated food that wasn’t...

I often come to this restaurant, usually for take away, sometimes to eat inside. The atmosphere is very friendly, prices are reasonable, the portions are portions and I like very much their sushi! It's my favorite sushi place in the area!

Update: the review (and the 5 stars) were for a Sushi restaurant at this address that closed a few years ago. At its place there is now a Thai Viet...

Accueil amusant au départ mais au fil du repas, les "blagues" du gérant deviennent superflues... Nous étions deux amies pour le diner. J'ai trouvé la qualité des plats vraiment médiocre. Les crevettes curry rouge pourtant très alléchantes sur le site et sur la carte sont en fait de très faible qualité cela se sent au gout et la sauce curry s'apparente finalement à une soupe à l'eau. Les brochettes dites "satay" n'ont rien à voir avec les véritables. Le riz gluant coco-mangue en dessert était bon. Effectivement ce n'est très cher et cela se ressent dans la qualité des produits. Au niveau du service il fallait faire signe pour que l'on vienne nous débarrasser, cela ne dérangeait pas de nous laisser avec les entrées ainsi que les plats terminés sur la table. Je déconseille cet endroit car pour le même prix ou quelques centimes de plus, on trouve dans le quartier la même cuisine de qualité nettement supérieure.
