The food was delicious… fresh avocado salad, fresh squeezed orange juice, lovely cappuccino, and delicious croissants (not at all soggy). The new owners are setting themselves up for success. They were very patient as we tried to practice our French and went overboard to satisfy our group. This is a great stop prior to getting on a train or just a break in the day. Quaint bar/restaurant between Gare de l'est and Gare du Nord. Went there because the interwebs promised a more than decent beer list (after a couple of days in Paris I couldn't stand the thought of more wine). Never saw this extensive list, but managed to get a very nice white beer. Which tasted like heaven after so so many Pouilly Fumees 😇. Same bog standard quality of service...

Perfect place to wait for your train. This bistro is across the street from the train station. They offer happy hour from 4:00-8:00, five euro beer and wine. It was the cheapest we saw beer and wine in Paris. We were brought a bowl of snacks to go with our drinks. The waiter was very friendly.
