La Croisière brasserie bouillon 1130 2130 — Restaurant in Quimper

Awful, embarrassing experience. Ordered fish set menu and received pork instead. Waitress claimed they had run out of fish option. When the chef asked about our food I said it was OK but was disappointed to have ordered fish and received meat. She was stunned - it became clear the Waitress had lied and I could have had fish after all. To make matters worse the Waitress then presented the bill and said she would pay for my portion of the meal - Thus making us feel guilty and embarrassed. I did not want to leave her out of pocket so paid full whack. All in all a terrible experience, one of the worst I have had in a restaurant.

I should add the food we did have was average - not special in any way. I would never normally leave a review, let alone a bad one - this is a first. The experience was so bad though I feel others should know about it before deciding...

The manager was very slow, inattentive and off-hand. Acted as if he couldn't be bothered. In fact he did very little. The restaurant wasn't busy but we still had to wait 10 mins before he came to ask us if we'd like a table.

The two young waitresses were very polite and efficient.

When the food came, it was cold. The modules et frites was a good size and portion but not even warm.

This place could be really good but failed to deliver. A real shame. It may survive simply because of its location and that it doesn't have to try to win customers.

There are several other restaurants nearby, so give this one a miss and try...

We had a wonderful time at La Croisière this month. We were travelling from Los Angeles. We went for dinner right at 7pm after a long day of travels. There were a few other diners. The waitress was so kind to us and our 5 year old. We came back a few nights later and she remembered us and our orders. We felt so welcomed and comfortable.

We ordered the mussels, steak frites, and fish & chips. The mussels were good. The steak was REALLY REALLY good. Like….really good. We’re still talking about it. We also loved the fish & chips.
