I only like to leave positive reviews or none at all but A l'ere Du Temps was exceptional. I felt I really had to share my experience given their write up on Lonely Planet and generally positive Facebook reviews. It seems they are at the point of hanging their hat (their guaranteed trade) off of such reviews. My experience was terrible - the worst I've received in all of France. I arrived at 9:17pm, alone, cold and hungry after a long day. They advertise their closing ti,e as 9:30pm, so when entering by myself to a basically empty venue on a Tuesday night I would expect that's ok and to receive a quick crepe. Instead, the staff member was so rude, I felt so unwelcome, he basically pretty much steered me out the door by the shoulder and told me to go away. I've never been treated with such astonishing rudeness in my life and I wanted to tell other people walking to this venue expecting the nice experience they might have read about in Lonely Planet that they should perhaps look at the many other cafes, bistros and restaurants dotted about the city.
