I heard so much good things about this restaurant, so my friends and I we decided to check for ourselves. As we arrived the world seemed ok, nice choice of meat, superb wine list, we started with some Charcuterie to share and a bottle of champagne. It took a while until we got served - 40 mins. We asked them a couple of times if they didn't forget about us. Unfortunately the waiters don't really know the menu, don't ask them where the meat is from... Then it became stranger and stranger, one of my bar chair legs started suddenly to move and I fell down, but the waiters were more concerned about the chair than me. The service became slower and slower, we ordered more and they managed to forget. We reordered. The end was tremendous, the manager came, not even a "hello, hope you enjoyed" oh and we spent 700 euros... nothing just standing next to the waitress and counting in front of us if we paid enough. Then he pulled down his mask went back inside and the table next to us ordered coffee, the manager had his fingers in his mouth then he grabbed all the coffees and smelled them (don't know why) and then they served them to the table next to us. That was really disgusting and so not professional, especially now during COVID is still on. I could have got easily 4-5 stars but the attitude and the service was not good.

We made same day reservations for 7pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was only 10% full. When we left by 10pm, the restaurant was 85% full. The atmosphere is nice and the staffs were great. French oldies playing in the background. There is no English menu so we used Google translate. We ordered a French onion soup, a bone marrow, sausage in a brioche, black pudding spread, risotto, steak with cheese sauce, ratatouille, passion fruit sorbet with liquor and a bunch of champagne, wine and chartreuse. Unfortunately the food fell short. The French onion soup was sour, the bread and cheese was on the side which was basically a cheese toast and there was not enough cheese. No classic cheese pull here. The bone marrow was overly salted and came with no toast. There were complimentary bread but not appropriate to spread the marrow on. However there were toast for the blood pudding spread but not enough to have with the bone marrow. The pickled onion was great to cut through the richness of the blood pudding but there was not enough of it. The brioche with the sausage was dry, I’d rather just have the sausage alone. The risotto was undercooked. I could taste the gritty grain. I didn’t get to try the steak so can’t comment on it. I would return just for the drinks but will stay away from the food.

Although we made a reservation in advance, we were promptly directed to a table inside and a timeslot for only 2 hours (7-9). We asked another colleague, Stacey, if we could sit outside. She was very kind and gave us an excellent table. As an appetizer we enjoyed the short ribs, which were great! The entrées - burrata with pesto and a melted cheese - were very tasty. The chicken was a little dry, while my entrecôte was really well prepared! Stacey had some great suggestions, a lovely smile and provided great service.

The most disappointing restaurant my wife and I have been to for years. On paper, Gueuleton looked like nice venue to celebrate my birthday. We ate outside as the weather was still mild. The restaurant was already quite full. We were given menus by the waitress, who then came back to take our order. Service efficiency should not be defined by how fast you do your job, but to understand that there is actually a customer interaction involved. Our waitress was cold and unfriendly and took our order at the speed of light, appearing not to know the menu that well. I'm very clear she didn't like her job. Then for the wine order I asked for advice on the pricey wine list. The waitress was unable to help but confirmed the wine waiter would come along to help. 45 mins later the wine waiter came along and apologized and recommended a St Joseph (many wines on the list were not available) while in the meantime other tables who had ordered after us had received their food before us. Our food arrived with no vegetables at all. My wife asked another waitress if there were vegetables with our meals and she looked at us blankly but said some chips would be sent to our table. We had ordered magret de canard and a gigot d'agneau. The magret was overcooked and the gigot was small with little meat on it. We eventually asked for the bill and even that took ages to come and then no one came to take our payment so after 10 mins of waiting we went inside to pay. I would not recommend based not only on the really disappointing level of customer service, but also on the high prices Gueuleton charges to go with it - there is no excuse for poor service if you sell yourself as a top...
