I made a reservation over the phone and when I arrived they had three free tables available outdoor. But they told me that they can only reciept me indoor!!! So I politely cancelled my reservation (the look on the face of lady was pricy) and dined outdoor in their neighbour resturant (and I was very happy with my decision and the charcuterie/wine). From where I was dining, I saw that the two of their three tables were still free by 10pm! What a spooky behaviour for a high ranked resturant!
*As there is no option to reply to your comment, I am adding my reply here, as follows: "You know that you are lying 100%. Note that I had a prior reservation with you and I arrived at 20h30. After your surprising behaviour, I dined at Edgar Bistrot right in the next block, where I could see which tables are gone in your outdoor! Only one group arrived after me! Thus, now you are adding a crazy lie to the cheep reception behaviour of your waitress! Thus, it is obvious to me now that it was on purpose! surprise... surprise... what a manager/owner! Instead of correcting their weakness, arguing with a client and lying to...
Read moreWe stopped here for a quick bite forgetting that the French don’t do anything quickly. Our bad. So we ordered the lunch menu: one starter + main and one main + dessert. The starter was practically a raw egg with some pea foam. Not my favourite. The main we ordered beef medium rare but perhaps because we pushed them to hurry, or perhaps because we’re not French, the waitress brought out two ends of meat which could never be cooked medium rare if they tried. Which they didn’t and they came out as tough as old boots. Awful. She pretended not to have noticed but of course she knew. But we didn’t have time to argue because we had to rush. The only good thing was the dessert - a chocolate brownie with caramel sauce and peanut cream on top - which she kindly put in a to-go box. The location is central and right opposite Le Forum but by the roadside which wasn’t nice. We paid good money for this bad experience. I guess it might not end up so bad if you give it the...
Read moreHad high expectations, but unfortunately the experience did not deliver. Staff members are nice and friendly, provide good service. Unfortunately the food is more about the look rather than taste - rather bland in seasoning and textures, despite looking pretty. Scallop tartar was very underwhelming and escargot were very bland, despite the dish looking very interesting visually. Mains were somewhat better, but nothing outstanding. Wine list focuses on very big houses, not that much of grower champagne to choose from. Non champagne section is mostly focusing on Burgundy, but again mostly big names or appellations. Overall it was ok, but not worth coming back. Had far more interesting food and...
