Koboon (Reims) — Restaurant in Reims

From a true blue Aussie. Had dinner here with my partner. First impression was of a nice, neat and tidy restaurant. It felt modern and was accommodating to our expectations. The welcoming was very pleasant from the gentleman (Possibly the owner) that attended to us for the night. Though our French is little to none and communicatation is a barrier, we both managed to communicate mutually to an adequate level of understanding with each other. The menu is in French and had plenty of options. The gentleman helped us make a decision by utilising the tablets located at the front, to show us what each dish looked like. We were offered a free entree which we greatfully accepted and were very appreciative. The food including the free entree was delicious. Thai food is always good and this place kept up to this expectation. The entrees tasted fresh and as if they were readily made. The mains (plats) were great. It was decently sized in portion and had plenty of flavour to it. I cannot express how wonderful my experience was here! My long quest of finding a legit Thai restaurant has finally come to a close when Koboon appeared! 💖 Coming from Southeast Asia and having stayed at Bangkok myself, i can attest that the Pad Thai I ordered here is as authentic as it gets! 💖 It was well seasoned, syrupy and sweet, just like a traditional Pad Thai would. The only thing that put me off was the cilantro. I thought it would have been perfect without it!

My husband ordered a Kai Thai which i also loved. It reminded me a lot of the Filipino Chicken Adobo! 💖 The wings were tender and well seasoned and the rice was not overly flavored with the sauce from it which i appreciate

The Mango Sticky Rice was sadly a bit underwhelming. I wish there would have been actual Mango chunks instead of the mango compote it was served with.

Indeed, it is the best Thai food. Had dinner here and returned for lunch the next day so I can taste more of their menu. The pad Thai was on point, and very close to the authentic version. Tom Kha Soup was also spot on, but I guess it’s adjusted to be less spicy to cater to local taste. My favourite has to be the green curry with rice, so creamy and delicious, just the way I love it. The best part, you can choose from prawns, chicken or beef for any of their dishes. Nems was also super nice.. crispy and full of filling. Chilli lover like me will be pleased as they offer freshly cut chillies when you ask.

Portions are generous and service is friendly. I wish they will open a branch in central Paris!
