I have been coming to Les 3 Brasseurs in Reims for years. But today I was disgusted at the way I was treated. I wanted a coffee, and half a litre of wine. And would probably have had a couple of beers after that. However, the waitress said I had to eat something. It was only an hour or two since I'd had a big brekky so was not hungry, but that is beside the point. I pointed out that the place inside was empty, it was not as though I was taking a table from hungry diners. The waitress snarkily said, "this isn't a bar, it is a restaurant", and that I had to leave. They used to have seats at the bar if you wanted a drink, or you could drink at a table. But the place is now getting arrogant and above itself, pretending to be something it wasn't and isn't. Oh well, it takes years to gain a customer, but only seconds to lose one. I will not be back.
EDIT: After reading a few of the other reviews here, it seems I am not alone in being treated like trash by the awful 3 Brasseurs staff.
EDIT 2: Response to Les 3 Brasseurs' reply
Did you read my review? My main complaint was the rudeness, and snottiness of the waitress to whom I did express my dissatisfaction. Also, you missed the part where I said I would never go back to such a rude establishment that treats regular, and new, customers with such rudeness and disrespect.
You'd get zero stars if the...
Read moreWe went here around 11:40pm and we came just in time before the lunch break rush! We could be seated immediately inside (they allowed our dog in too! 💖). Coming here early was the right decision, in just a couple of minutes, the place was buzzling with people! 💖 I didn't realize how big the interior was judging from the outside 💖 the place was cozy, spacious, neat and service was not hard to call and all our needs were immediately met
The food in itself is ok. It tastes good but it's not outstanding. It felt like it was already prepared food that was just heated to be served. The serving is huge though and is way enough for more than one person in my opinion! Food was also served fast so that's a plus of you want something quick for lunch
I have to say the fish in my order fell a little short of my expectations. In my opinion, it felt nothing different than one you would get from the supermarket to fry at home. Despite this, the whole dining experience was still wonderful and i will definitely be coming back to try other dishes! 💖 We paid about ¥42 for two people (including a...
Read moreVery disappointing. The beer was bland. Very bland. The food was better. I had the choucroute royale, which was high-quality, but it was let down by the details. It should come with excellent Dijon-style moutarde, instead, I was given little packets like you get at a truck stop which once torn open, emitted a green juice and then a tasteless mustard goo. Come on! Finally, the service was terrible. It was something out of an old sitcom sketch about rude French servers in the 1970s. I tried to pay my bill with cash (still legal, right?) which angered the server who got her revenge by giving me my change in pennies, one after another after another.... what??? Oh and despite ordering a medium beer ('J'aurai une taille moyenne, trente-trois...'), I was charged for a large. I'm not surprised. To recap: bland beer, ok food let down by details, awful service. You can do much better in...
