The Champagne Tasting, which I was visiting with friends, and had bought ss s gift for them, of the quality Chamoagnes Milliseme and Prelude were excellent as were the Presemters. We were a little dissappointed that due to refurbishment we could not visit the Caves, but instead were sent a virtual tour after the visit, which there seemed to be no reduction in price for. We went on 3 different tasting tours during our stay in Reims and visit to Epernay and we also tried some of the smaller producers too. Unfortunately, Taittinger were the only champagne house tasting that allowed people who had not booked, to enter our tasting event 10 mins after it started which was disruptive, only lasted 50 mins, which was the shortest tasting of any of the Champagne Houses we visited even though it was the most expensive, before we were then told we had to leave and take our unfinished glasses with us to the shpp as another group were ready for their tasting - this was quite aggravating as I had paid Euro47 for 3 persons each i.e. Euro 141 and it was not chesp. I would suggest that more time is left between tours so that this does not happen in future and customers do not feel they are on a...
Read moreBonjour.
It’s basically a 30 minutes audio guide for 60 Euros. It makes no sense, it’s a Brand equivoque. Nobody gets out of there thinking Taittinger its what it is.
I understand it’s temporary, but: That should be clearer on the subscription form on the website; A more detailed explanation of what is Taittinger should be given; NOBODY nobody pays attention to a 30 minutes audio. We are in the multissensorial era (for 15 years now…); There are no stamped brands anywhere (only very discrete downstairs, none upstairs); There are no instagram places for memorable photos and #Taittinger instructions; Service was clumsy… People were very nice.
It’s definitely not worth 60 Euros. It’s definitely not worth the time spent.

Read moreOverall this was a great experience. As a visitor that speaks very little French (embarassingly), it was a non-issue.
The tasting room/building was beautiful. The presentation was very informative. The guide was especially nice and well metered...not to mention patient with my many questions of the champagne making process and history of the vineyard. The story of the Taittinger family is quite impressive!
The room was easily accessable from the train station -- just a short walk through a beautiful downtown.
Again, awesome experience. 10/10...
