We were looking for somewhere close to the major champagne houses that was open on a Sunday, and Le Piras turned out to be a wonderful find. Before lunch we visited the Basilique Saint-Remi, a beautiful medieval abbey church just a short walk away — peaceful, steeped in history, and well worth the stop. Our lunch at Le Piras was a last-minute booking, but we were very glad we managed to get a table. The selection of dishes is quite large for a haute cuisine restaurant and the portions are also good. All of the dishes we ordered were very tasty, though a bit surprised by the combination of duck and bacon garnish, not sure if the two go together but individually it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful with food choices, the service is top notch. We made reservations in advance on the restaurant's website, as even though it was a weekday lunch, the restaurant was quite full. If you want to try unusual dishes, go to this restaurant.
