The reality is that itâs not worth a reply from the restaurant. Anyone who would find Le Jardin enjoyable or interesting has no time for critical google reviews. This is a loss-leader restaurant sibling of a 2 star French restaurantâyour bad review doesnât matter. Before COVID I bet they had a solid staff but the fact is restaurants in this price point the world over have suffered from a lack of care. But thatâs OK. If you have cooks who canât be bothered to remove pin bones from branzino before service, thatâs OK. If you have the worst bread in France, thatâs OK. If you have one of the most boring and over priced wine lists in Reims, thatâs OK. Whatâs probably not OK is just how tepid and tenuous the whole experience is from start to finish, like theyâre hoping your table isnât the one to figure out the whole thing is a sham. And it is. From the cookery to the wine to the inability of lead servers to filet a fish, itâs just totally Potemkin and they know it and theyâre hoping you donât. Which most donât. If youâre from Bergen County, NJ and you wind up here youâll have a great time! And thatâs 90% of the clientele so. If thatâs you; go with your bad self. But if youâre sense and a passion for food and a desire to spend commensurate amts of money to those effects, go to Wine Bar go to ANYWHERE ELSE IN REIMS. And let these people enjoy...
Read moreOnce we found the Brasserie hidden in a lovely park we got our table quickly and the staff seated us and took our order of sparkling water. 15 minute wait for menus and 10 to take our aperitif-order (and our order of water again). 5 minutes later they took our foodorder and our waterorder again. We recieved our starters but no water and no drinks. Starters 4/5 and 2/5. Water served after starter was finished. Ordered wine for the main. Maincourse came. Had to ask for the wine again. The pork was dry. 1/5. No bread was served. All other tables had bread. We did not want to complain more because every interaction felt forced and uncomfortable. We asked for a small break before dessert wich was perfectly timed. But the dessert disappointed. 2/5. Just sweet and boring. Textures off. We had moderate expectations of the food but quite high expectations of service. For a bib-gourmand brasserie, food 2/5 and service 2/5. Location 4,5/5. They asked us how everything was when we asked for the bill and we told them honestly. They took drinks off the bill, but we left dissatisfied. Over all. They had no attention to us and they talked about us after we gave our feedback. They stood in a large group with the manager and talked and looked wich made us even more uncomfortable. Very poor handled and maybe just typical french service. Anyway. Very...

I had high expectations for this restaurant, especially given its reputation and the stunning location â and while the setting truly is beautiful, that alone doesnât make up for the overall experience.
The food was just okay. What really disappointed me was how dietary restrictions were handled: instead of offering an alternative sauce or adjustment for allergies or intolerances, the kitchen simply left the sauce off the dish. Thatâs a lazy solution in a place of this price range.
My husband had a steak, which unfortunately was quite sinewy and tough â not what youâd expect at this level.
Speaking of prices â the champagne list is severely overpriced, even by Reims standards. There are far better options in the area for both quality and value.
Service was initially very attentive, but once we placed our order, it felt like we were forgotten. Getting follow-up attention or even a second glass of Champagne became a challenge.
Overall, it felt more like style over substance â definitely not the standout dining experience...
