Stopped by for just a tasting. Take note you can just walk in and have a 3-glass tasting without reservation. For the tours you have to book in advance. Tiny, quiet, peacefull and very nice garden where you can do the tasting of the champagnes. The lady the did the explanation was very good as well what makes the experience better all around. Prices range from 25 up to 45 euro for a 3-glas tasting depending in which champagnes you want to taste.

Martel is the seventh biggest Champagner producer which makes it a bit more unique compared to the big producers. Interesting tour of the cellars is well worth doing but it only lasts about 30 minutes and the Champagner is not stored in these cellars. Afterwards you can try 3 different Champagner types. A reservation is recommended but in Winter maybe not essential.

We arrived at Reception and asked if we could do a tasting. The Receptionist said we could but we had missed the cellar tour so could only do the tasting for 21€ per person. She directed us to the waiting area and told us someone would be there shortly to give us our three glasses of champagne. We sat and waited and after 15 minutes, asked her where the person was. 10 minutes later, the sommelier arrived… Along with an entire tour group. He did the champagne tasting - all in French. Now, I know we were in France, but most places offer tastings in different languages. The Receptionist knew we spoke English (and even asked where we were from!) but failed to mention anything about the tasting being 1) part of a large group and 2) completely in French. Dispute the unprofessionalism of the Receptionist and the disorganised set up of the place, the...

This is a brilliant champagne house, situated a 20 minute walk away from the town centre. We picked this tour as it includes the cellars, which is slightly unusually within the main town centre.

The tour took us through the history of the house as well the process of making champagne. It is brilliant tour and the champagne tastes amazing too!

We had a slight incident - the chair I was sat on collapsed. The host was super respectful and dealt with this promptly. Unfortunately a member of the group was rather vocal and appeared to be more traumatised by the incident than myself! Thankfully the host dealt with the situation tactfully and managed them very well whilst not embarrassing us at all.

Finally I would thoroughly recommend this house as the...

Stumbled upon this champagne maker on our way to visit Basilique Saint-Remi. When we arrived, the office was locked and had a sign indicating that it would re-open about 45 minutes later. As we were turning to leave, the tour guide (Emmanuel) saw us from an adjacent room and indicated that we could hop on the tour he was about to give. Facility was smaller than nearby competitors but has a lot of history. Our guide was excellent and made the experience entirely worth it. I can also say that the champagne was better than some of the other more well-known brands that we tried later that day. This is definitely worth a stop for anyone visiting the area for any reason, especially if you are into champagne. We will definitely be back; thank...
