Nous avons récemment visité le restaurant pour son bar caché le Speakeasy. Voici notre expérience au bar pas au restaurant: Points positifs : À notre arrivée, les deux dames à l'accueil ont été adorables et très sympathiques. Elles nous ont expliqué que le bar était accessible via le restaurant ou une porte à l'arrière avec un escape game, ce qui est original. Le bar, une fois à l'intérieur, est cosy et pas trop bruyant, avec très peu de monde ce soir-là. Les cocktails étaient corrects, même s’ils n’étaient pas mémorables. Points négatifs : L’accueil au bar a été maladroit dès le début. Le barman nous a demandé si nous avions mangé au restaurant à l’étage ou si nous connaissions quelqu’un qui nous aurait "autorisés" à passer par l'avant du resto. Cela nous a mis mal à l’aise, d’autant plus que tu nous étions passés par la porte d’entrée principale, après avoir demandé aux deux personnes à l'accueil. La conversation du barman avec ses amis, juste à côté de nous, était particulièrement déplacée. Il évoquait ouvertement, et avec un ton condescendant, que le bar ne devrait pas être accessible à "n’importe qui" que c'était surtout pour les clients du gastro d'en haut " Cette remarque, qui semblait nous être destinée, était extrêmement désagréable et a rendu l’atmosphère très inconfortable. Une odeur très forte de transpiration était omniprésente dans le bar, en particulier à l’entrée, ce qui n’a pas aidé à améliorer l’expérience. Mention spéciale : malgré une tentative de service poli, le barman n’a pas su créer un accueil chaleureux et son double shake été peu convaincant (parole de connaisseur 😉). En résumé, nous ne reviendrons pas, malgré le très bon accueil des dames à l’entrée. Le bar a du potentiel grâce à son ambiance cosy, mais l’expérience globale, marquée par un accueil irrespectueux et une ambiance pesante, ne donne pas envie de renouveler l’expérience. Came here for seafood. I had the shellfish and crustaceans (cockles, mussels and razor clams) on a huge bed of cabbage with a cheese sauce. It was so delicious with bread. So I decided to came back the second night to try their pan fried red mullet fillet. This time it was also very good and it came with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables. It was good portion size. Staff were very friendly and good service. Another good thing with this restaurant is they open on Sunday which is rare!

Endroit atypique pour boire un bon cocktail. Comme c'est un bar clandestin, on se croirait dans un escape game pour entrer. Et ça c'est rigolo ! Il faut réserver pour y aller, ce n'est pas la peine d'improviser un verre là bas ! Cela s'explique par le nombre limité de places dans la cave. Soit environ 15/20. Toutes assises. Pas de parking mais comme c'est dans le quartier gare de Rennes, c'est pas impossible. Sinon il y a les transports en commun partout autour. Niveau tarif, on est haut ! Le fait main a un prix et il faut compter 13e en moyenne le verre. Le goût est là heureusement. Le plaisir des yeux aussi. Les alcools sont recherchés. C'est pas la bouteille du supermarché qui est proposée. Une petite faim ? Il faut aimer le poisson puisque c'est le resto des pêcheurs du dessus qui s'en occupe. Très bon mais prix excessif ! 25e le plateau. Il n'y a pas vraiment d'ambiance sauf celle qu'on met avec les copains. Pas vraiment de musique ou pas forte du tout. Pourquoi pas tester une fois mais pas sûre d'y retourner perso.

Good Restaurant, absolutely the place to be visited! We were exploring all day along Brittany and Normandy and finally returned our rental car to Hertz at the station. Whole family was tired, wet and hungry. Stepping inside the almost fully-booked restaurant, getting a table for four and after the first drinks we were ready to check menu. No matter that menu was only in French – Service was good, friendly and patient (my French is not so fluent…).

And food itself – it was absolutely fantastic from starters to main courses. And the Grand Finale was delicious, heart-breaking sweet desserts. A couple classes of good rose wine and all this with quite reasonable price (App EUR 120 for four person). No wonder why the restaurant was so popular. I’m ready to recommend this restaurant to all who are near Rennes and looking for a nice...

In August 2023, we stayed two nights at the Hôtel Sévigné which is next door to this restaurant. The hotel staff recommended les Pêcheurs, and we are glad they did. We enjoyed a delicious, relaxing lunch on the terrace here after arriving by train from Charles de Gaulle airport. All the courses were treats to the palate. The fish was wonderfully fresh and delicately flavored. The crisp, white wine en carafe, recommended to us by the waitstaff, went very well with the food we ordered and was very welcome on that warm sunny day. We were able to sit on the terrace in the shade. Great place. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We enjoyed the experience so much that we came back for dinner the following night. Our first night here, we had the best mussels of our lives! They were top quality mussels prepared perfectly... cooked exactly right.

The next night, we walked past the restaurant (after having eaten earlier) and saw these beautiful St. Peter's Fish on ice in the window. Our waiter from the previous evening, Dimitri, saw us and came outside to talk. Aren't they beautiful, he said. Yes, we said... but we had just eaten!

"Come back tomorrow, I'll save one for you," he said.

The next evening we returned, and indeed, he had saved one for us. Oh my... what a great meal! A lovely crab claw appetizer followed by this amazing fish... we asked Dimitri to pick the wines... a truly memorable...
