I give a 4 star review out of 5 Maybe we expected a wow experience and had higher expectations for a Michelin star restaurant and a green star restaurant to give 5/5 but it wasn’t the case for us.
We had the pleasure in dining there for a 7 course meal.
Some of us (3 people) were vegetarian and hence they accommodated us during reservation itself by making sure all of us (7 people) were served vegetarian food which was okay for us.
The ambiance is really beautiful, an old Alsace house that is completely renovated.
The wine pairing and non alcoholic pairing was not the best we had compared to what we had in other fine dining restaurants. It was not complementing to the dishes well. And, the empty wine glasses and empty glasses were not removed promptly from the table after each meal. It resulted in a table with more than 15 empty glasses.
The desserts were outstanding! Fantastic.
The cheese we were served was too strong that most of us could not finish eating it unfortunately.
We liked the unique experience of churning butter in front of us to have it with freshly baked warm bread.
The main courses and appetisers were okay.

Read moreThis one rustic french alsacian restaurant that will help you discover or rediscover the roots and origin of the ingredients in the region. The restaurant has also a green star meaning that they are working with short circuits local production and they buy directly themselves from the producers and they work with local artisans for some of the products such as wine glasses (pure silica no mercury). For the food, we rediscovered the celery, the mushrooms 🍄but also we had a pleasant experience with the Wagyu A7 and the Petrossian caviar covered slow cooked trout with sauce based on the trout's trimming. We had a lengthy conversation with the chef and his wife the manager, they are super humble and low key. They show true commitment to their region and they do their homework for new recipes and styles. For example they revived the ancestor of the common wheat the Amidonnier and the Khorasan based breads. Worth the...
Read moreWe enjoyed every bit(e) of our experience at the restaurant. The service is amazing - from the time you enter the restaurant until you leave. A lot of attention is paid to making your experience unforgettable, and it shows. The food is, of course, part of the experience. We opted for the surprise menu, based on the chef's inspiration. The chef likes making vegetables the stars of the dishes, and I would say that was a resounding success. We will both remember the amazing snow peas dish, as well as the dessert around white asparagus and vanilla. We also followed the recommendation for a natural wine to pair with our menu (hard to choose when there are over 1600 wines to choose from!), and it was the perfect discovery for our night.
We will be back, in a different season - to try...
