Le Panda Express — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

The owner of the restaurant was so very rude and impatient when my daughter who is vegetarian asked for a vegetarian food as we did not see any mixed vegetables or any vegetarian meal on her menu pictures. We did try our best to speak in french but she was just slamming her hands on the table and speaking her language to her daughter we presume, sitting in a corner of the restaurant also talking about us in their Chinese language. This was very humiliating and embarrassing. As we were desperate to eat Chinese food :-) and did not know where else to go, we just had to order anything to stop her humiliating us. I am sure this will never happen in London.

I never call the racist card and I am still not doing that but she made us feel really uncomfortable and made us wonder if she did behave like that because I am black and my daughter is mixed race. It does not matter really if that is the case. What mattered the most was how she made a point of humiliating us in front of other customers.

The owner was waving her hands in the air as she did not understand us and my daughter was getting more anxious as she had to hurry to choose something.

Besides, how can you have a Chinese restaurant and not have vegetables picture in your menu so that visitors can know what to point to? Hmm

My advice is unless you are white and speak French, or look extremely rich don't go to this restaurant/ takeaway. Thank God we only wanted take away and not stay in...

This is a full service Chinese restaurant not the fast food in USA as we first thought . Food is tasty, owner very friendly . Dishes medium size and price that way ( like tapas), enable us ( 2 of us ) to order more variety of dishes to share . Excellent quality and good price, I was so surprised with the bill so cheap that I need to ask to make sure they did charge the bottle of wine. First I thought this might be the US chain of Chinese Fast Food Restaurants. But when I walked by, I could see that it is an independently owned restaurant.
