Le Grand Bouillon Sauvage — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

At the tail end of my time in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, my cousin, uncle and I stopped here for lunch. Our experience at this restaurant was unfortunately not like the rest of my experiences in Paris so far. The waiter and host were kind to start so we were excited to enjoy our meal. My cousin and I both ordered a burger which came out raw and cold to the touch in the center. We asked to have it cooked again, and when it returned it was still raw. With this we chose to simply ask for the bill and find another place to eat. The waiter saw that our food was untouched and sent the manager who was not only unhelpful but rude. He told us “sorry you are unhappy with you burger, this is just the French way”. He offered send it back and cook it again, but at this point I was concerned about eating at an establishment that would send out raw meat not once but twice.

As someone who works in hospitality and looks forward to experiencing different restaurants while traveling I found my experience at this establishment disappointing to say the least. As far as flavor, since I was unable to eat my own meal, I can only comment on my uncle’s impression of his fish and chips which he said lacked flavor. In the end, we paid the whole bill and left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant if you are hoping to have a true experience of what French hospitality and cuisine...

Y a t il eu une évolution super notable vu tous les avis négatifs ? car sincèrement, ma première visite, ce jour, dans ce restaurant m’a laissé un ressenti très positif : la viande ( la pièce du boucher ) ainsi que le dessert (citron ) étaient copieux et l’assiette délicieuse - le service était impressionnant en termes de rapidité, en totale opposition aux fâcheuses expériences vécues par certains clients de ce restaurant : est ce un heureux hasard ou est ce une véritable optimisation des process ? La serveuse qui s’est occupée de nous était bienveillante, souriante, et très agréable - franchement, il faudrait que j’essaie une seconde visite afin de m’assurer que l’évolution n’est pas que le fruit d’une situation exceptionnelle mais que c’est bien ancré dans le temps et dans la continuité. Les prix, eux, sont tout à fait corrects par rapport aux contenus des plats - si vraiment, il y a eu des efforts d’amélioration, les résultats sont là - la persévérance paye à condition de la...

J’ai contacté ce restaurant pour privatiser une soirée. Après plusieurs appels et relances (aucune réponse le premier jour, envoi tardif du menu, puis relance pour la carte des boissons sans retour…), nous avons finalement convenu d’une date, d’un horaire et du menu. On a confirmé ensemble et en plus par écris que la privatisation de l’espace est validée, et j’ai de mon coté prévenu les 25 personnes que j’invitais.

Quelques jours plus tard, on m’annonce finalement que la date était déjà prise par un autre groupe et qu’il y a un soucis de communication en interne, sans aucune solution alternative proposée sachant qu’ils ont 2 autres établissement. Je me retouve à quelques jours de l’événement sans réservation et totalement lâchée. Bref, Une organisation totalement déplorable, un manque de professionnalisme évident, et une communication inexistante.
