Dao Vien — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

I am a traveler from the state who knows no French and was looking for a not so touristy restaurant and in my opinion, i hit a jackpot finding this place. The menu had no English translation, the owner or server spoke no English, so we ordered from google photos and every single one was so good. Like i read from other reviews, the portions were a bit small, so we kept ordering more from what locals ordered next table but literally, every plate was well cooked and flavorful. The Restaurant is cozy and the colors of the interieur fit together. So the ambiet is warm and welcoming. Just in front you have free parking spots. The owner "I think" is helping you to choose and speaks good enough english to understand an order. The food is really good and as far as i can say, handmade. The reason why i will not give 5 Stars is only to the small serving sizes. I ordered a starter and a main dish. After this i had to order an other dish. Visited out of season, so it wasn't too busy. Menu isn't vast but is sensible. Space is nice and clean. The staff were polite and friendly.

The main meal was good, my dish had plenty of ginger in it which I like, but can't imagine being popular with the French.
