La Tchanquetas — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

An eclectic menu drawing on more than one cuisine, and including pizza, means that you have a wide sway of options in this cheerful and relaxed venue, nestled in the pretty Brittany village of Saint-Briac sur Mer. It's good for groups too... we were 24 and were accommodated readily - and there enough choices to please all tastes pretty much.

A dish of salt cod mixed with potato and herbs may sound a little ordinary but, believe me, was a star and a highlight for those who had it in our party.

The wine list was well chosen and, recommended by our very warm and friendly hostess, we were surprised by how inexpensive they were compared to UK restaurants - and of quite delicious quality. An excellent village restaurant for a good...

A fuir ! Je suis bretonne et j ai rarement vu un établissement de se genre dans ma region ! Mais au vu des autres commentaire j aurai du regarder google avant de mettre un pied dans cette cantine. On commence par un accueil tres limite question amabilité, un personnel qui propose des cocktails sans connaître la composition ( 3 sur la carte) ns avont commandé 2 pizzas vegetariennes 1 salade verte et 1 assiette de frite ( frites "maison" qui n en sont pas au meme prix exorbitants que la salade 5euros de mémoire) les pizzas sont arrivés en chauson ( nn préciser sur la carte )pleine de flotte, legumes pas dégorgé, oignons pas cuit garniture a moitié etc. Au moment du fameux " tt c est bien passé ? " ns avont exprimé notre mécontentement mais seule réaction est un commentaire sarcastique de la serveuse. Une responsable qui vous encaisse une note exorbitantes sans se soucier de votre ressenti. Bref , un attrape touriste au prix excessif pour une pseudo restaurant dis maison. Un cantine tt juste bon a servir des plat préparer. Un note a la DGCCRF est déposé. En prime une photo des soit disantes frites maison. seul point positif ? Leurs salade verte etait bien présentée malgré son prix ,vs devriez peut etre vous contenté de ca sur...

Service was great and the food was amazing!

We had the friendliest wait staff, very chatty and welcoming - and to top it off we found them giving our dogs a bowl of water because they thought they were hot.

We had pasta, salmon and moules frites (which was so good we were drinking the left over broth).

Highly recommend it - plus the location...
