Yellow Sub — Restaurant in Saint Martin (France)

The WORST CHEESEBURGER EVER! This horrible restaurant charged 21 euros for it. The bun was a semi-hard biscuit that crumbled and shattered after the first bite. The cheese, if you would call it that, was an off-white gooey sticky substance that tasted like starchy sauce. I had to wash my hands thoroughly to remove the sticky substance. The meat didn’t taste like all beef, was stiff, chewy and of extreme low quality. The French fries were old and stale and were mostly small pieces about 1-2 cm long. Service was slow and had nothing to offer but shallow apologies. I told the server in french, to make sure they understood, that in my long years of ordering cheese burgers at a very long list of restaurants Yellow Sub is by far the absolute worst. The only thing they didn’t screw up was a bottle of Corona. The server had the audacity to ask if we wanted coffee. When we said no, the server came back with after dinner shots that we promptly refused. Then we paid and walked out. We frequented this restaurant before it changed ownership a couple of years ago and it had a decent menu and quality food. Simply: Save your money...

Everything about our experience here was pretty awful. It started with terrible service: both the greeter and the server were very rude. Our food took over an hour to come and some of the dishes were cold. The burgers were terrible, the salads were okay, and the fish was mediocre but tiny portions. The price is the same as many of the fine dining options around, but the food is much worse. We ended up ordering pizza after because everyone was so unsatisfied. There are so many great options around at the same price, choose somewhere else. don't be fooled by the one $ sign like we were - not much is available for less than 20 euros.

Adding this a day later - my father got food poisoning from his fish... If I could give less than one...

Don’t get fool by this place. Yes it looks good, but you get just an OK meal for the price you pay. You probably better off at the Bikini just in front where the meals are good, plus you get the view. Here’s the parking lot is the view.

In the evening, as a bar, I could see the appeal as there are no view on the beach when it’s dark. Plus the decor and the ambiance are nice.

It changed owner post IRMA and it’s a big promoter who owns it now. Let’s just say he knows the formula to look good and make money.

The restaurant was empty at lunch time and was asked to move seat because I was alone. Sorry but no. Eventually we were 3 tables on 20 at 2pm. Give me break. Stop pretending being important when...
