RESTAURANT LA PLAGE — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

Would not recommend. Overpriced. The staff were angry. (And for no apparent reason) I was scowled at when I politely asked for a menu. From looking at other reviews I can see the restaurant normally responds to negative reviews saying you must have made a mistake and reviewed the wrong restaurant. Maybe take something from the negative reviews and not deflect with lies. There is wooden seating overlooking the Dordogne at the side and at first you would wonder why nobody sits here with such a lovely view.. Until you sit in them!!

Les point positifs : Il y a des options pour les végétariens ; la nourriture est réconfortante ; on peut voir le château en mangeant ; le cadre est décontracté et sympathique. Les points négatifs : les glaces sont à éviter à tout prix, vous payez 9euros pour 2 petites boules de glaces surplombées par une MONTAGNE de chantilly sans aucun goût et très grasse... Je l'ai jeté dans mon verre et j'ai été malade, et dites-vous que j'adore la chantilly et suis très gourmand... donc c'est vous dire à quel point elle est de médiocre qualité et vraiment en surplus ! Une fois arrivée aux boules de glaces j'avais trop la nausée pour les finir... très mauvaise expérience, hyper déçue... ; Le serveur avait son groupe de copains installés à l'entrée de la salle du restau est ils étaient super bruyants, peu respectueux, ils m'étaient franchement mal à l'aise, en plus le serveur a passait la moitié de son temps avec eux, à encourager leur comportement... On était pas les seuls à être génés c'était assez flagrant mais bon... ; la serveuse ne nous a pas prévenu qu'il fallait payer au comptoir du coup on a perdu 10min à attendre qu'elle emmène l'addition qui n'est jamais venue.

Voilà ! Y retournerons nous ? Possible, si on a faim et qu'il y a rien d'autres d'ouvert dans les environs. Par choix, par contre, je ne pense pas qu'on y retournerai malheureusement. Le rapport qualité prix n'était pas...

We went twice to eat there in the evening and for ice creams in the afternoon. The hamburgers are delicious, pizzas also, and the ice creams super.
