Brasserie la Bourse des Gourmets — Restaurant in Saumur

We arrived in this restaurant as a party of 13, between the usual lunch and dinner times, so could have been a nightmare for this restaurant, but the staff were very accommodating, even moving the tables to fit us all on the same table. Despite our lack of French, we were able to order for everybody (with a little help!) and the food was very nice. They have a wide selection of drinks and the coffee at the end was brilliant! I highly recommend the Cafe Gourmand! I will certainly eat here again when back...

We have had lunches here on several occasions and have always enjoyed good food at a reasonable price with friendly service. Presently the cost of a 2 course lunch is 11 euro and 3 is around 13, excluding wine. Well situated near the old bridge over the river and handy for the tourist office. Probably the worst meal we had in 2 weeks in France. I had the moules marinière which were small, a bit tough and came with a sauce that tasted really strange, as if the wine was off or something.
