Le Café du Coin — Restaurant in Saumur

Went here to try the coffee as they had a proper espresso machine. Sadly, they had no clue how to use it. We asked for a macchiato and were told « we don’t do macchiato ». Then I asked for a flat white and was told « we don’t do flat whites ». I mean, I know this is France, but really? This is 2025! Then I asked for a cappuccino and they brought me this monstrosity, covered in chocolate powder. It was horrendous, like something you’d get in a McDonald’s. I arrived after lunch time so I could order only snacks (which is OK). Despite ordering a very simple dish (croque italien) for a hefty price (13.90€), and a small number of other guests, I waited for over half an hour. The food arrived with missing ingredients (basilic) and bad quality ingredients (jambon de Paris instead of prosciutto, tons of cheap mozzarella). It was bread, then a bit of lettuce, then a big slab of goats cheese, then a massive burger patty, ANOTHER big slab of goats cheese, salad, then the top of the bun.
