Teatro — Restaurant in Saumur

We managed to get a table without a reservation which was lucky. The staff were friendly and courtious despite the restaurant being very busy. My go to Italian meal is Penne L'arrabiatta. I have to say that it was the best arrabiatta that I have ever tasted. The depth of flavour was fantastic. My only suggestion would be to make the portion size a fraction bigger. My husband had a pizza and he was also very impressed with the flavourings. We tried to book a table for the next night but unfortunately they are closed on Wednesdsys and Thursdays. Options are limited on a Sunday night in Saumur, so had to dine at one of the few restaurants that were open. Pizza and pasta were average at best, not as good as my wife can make at home and she is no Nigella by her own admission.
