Chez Nous — Restaurant in Senlis

Wir waren für 10 Tage in Senlis, um die Stadt und die wunderschöne Gegend mit ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden. Auf Empfehlung unseres Vermieters haben wir das „Chez Nous“ ausprobiert – und es zu unserem Stamm-Restaurant für den ganzen Urlaub gemacht. Leider kann man nur 5 Sterne vergeben… Das Chez Nous hätte mehr verdient. Wir haben selten ein Restaurant mit solchem Service erlebt. Ein kleines, junges, familiengeführtes Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche, einladendem Ambiente, einer kleinen Speisekarte, die man aber „blind“ „von oben nach unten“ essen kann und die tagesaktuell angepasst wird. Man muss fast schon nicht mehr erwähnen, dass alle Gerichte hervorragend zubereitet sind. Das Beste aber ist der Wirt und sein ganzes Team. Hier spürt man, dass jedes Teammitglied jederzeit für die anderen da ist und alle gemeinsam den Gast umsorgen. Immer ein freundliches Wort, fundierte und geduldige Erklärungen zu jeder Frage und sofern möglich, werden spontan auch Sonderwünsche erfüllt. Wir lieben es, wenn – wie im Chez Nous unsere Sonderwünsche auch am nächsten Tag noch im Gedächtnis des Personals sind und unaufgefordert angeboten werden. Einfach wunderbar! Wir können das Chez Nous jedem empfehlen, der in Senlis eine Möglichkeit für ein schönes Mittag- oder Abendessen sucht. Eine Reservierung ist allerdings unbedingt empfehlenswert. Seine hervorragenden Bewertungen hat das Chez Nous vollkommen zu Recht. Und – last but not least – das ganze gibt es zu einem mehr als angemessenen Preis. We stayed in Senlis for 10 days to explore the city and the beautiful area with its sights. On the recommendation of our landlord, we tried the "Chez Nous" - and made it our favorite restaurant for the whole holiday. Unfortunately we can give only 5 stars... The Chez Nous deserved more. We have rarely experienced a restaurant with such service. A small, young, family-run restaurant with very good food, an inviting ambience, a small menu that you can eat "blindly from top to bottom" and that is updated daily. Needless to say, all the dishes are excellently prepared. But the best is the host and his whole team. Here you can feel that every team member is always there for the others and that they all looks after the guest together. Always a friendly word, well-founded and patient explanations for every question and, if possible, special requests are also spontaneously fulfilled. We love it when - as in Chez Nous - our special requests are still in the memory of the staff the next day and are offered unsolicited. Just wonderful! We can recommend Chez Nous to anyone looking for a nice lunch or dinner option in Senlis. However, a reservation is highly recommended. Chez Nous deserves its excellent ratings. And – last but not least – all of this is available at a more than reasonable price. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in...

I should say that the restaurant is situated in a narrow street in the medieval town where all buildings have been preserved for centuries. This is charming if you like all things old. The place itself is cozy, there are three different rooms, one of which was like a picture gallery, with a fireplace (sadly, they don't burn fire in it anymore). There is also a patio, but I guess it is closed in winter. The menu is not very long, but the dishes are tasty, I had a cheeseburger with French fries, which were delicious. Our last meal during our trip to France. They were completely packed, but left us open our reserved table. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious, and very well prepared. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Although they were completely full, the workers were all extremely friendly, walk around with big smiles on their faces, and even chatted with us for a few minutes while having us pay.
