During our visit to Chantilly, we had to try their crème chantilly, and what better than l'atelier de la Chantilly. It was crowded even with the temperature being -1 outside during such a low tourist season. The menu is full of many choices of drinks and desserts. We took a cafe and a chocolat vatel gourmand. The drinks were hot with the good amount of sweetnes for the vatel. The patisserie with the drink were really mouthwatering especially the one with the brownie and the biscuit/cookie base. The Chantilly cream desserts here are exquisite! There are different pastries offered, but the cream itself is the main highlight. It is not too sweet and they use the freshest ingredients. My favorite will have to be the waffle with cream and chocolate! The warm waffle just complements the cream very well! And the best part of this place was the service!! We absolutely loved the Chantilly cream workshop and we cannot recommend this place enough! Bertrand - the workshop master - was extremely professional, insightful and very friendly. He kept us on our toes the entire time! We enjoyed the workshop very much and learned a lot about the Creme Chantilly - from its making process to its history. We also appreciated the quality of the products we used for our Chantilly cream, and in the end Bertrand provided us with jars and a refrigerated bag to take our freshly made Chantilly home!
