Le coin des hasards — Restaurant in Thiers

A very old building and quite interesting lodging experience. There was a bit of difficulty in gaining entry, since the owner was not answering the bell. A passing neighbor took me to a business down the street, where I found the young female owner of the b&b. This was an interesting experience, since I speak only a tiny bit of French. She was very courteous, and after directing me to park in a public square around the corner -- about 200 meters away, led us up the ancient spiral stair to our 3rd level room. The stair was reminiscent of many that I have climbed in castles throughout Europe; but was something of a challenge with luggage in hand. Our room was quaint, very large, and comfortable. The en suite bathroom facilities were quite adequate. After a good sleep, we were treated to a very nice breakfast from our most accommodating and friendly host. We enjoyed our stay here very much! We were passing through on our way from Grenoble to the Loire Valley and were pleasantly surprised by Thiers. We chose to stay in the bigger room and it was great! The room was very big and very central to everything in the adorable village of Thiers. The room was very clean and comfortable.
