FLORÈS — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

A terrible place. I am Colombian. Yesterday, I arrived with my wife to sit at a table (there were many available), and the waiter, in an unfriendly manner, told us that the place was full. I pointed out that there were many free tables, and he rudely insisted, "No, we are full." I then approached the person at the bar to ask, and they also rudely told me that I had already been informed that the place was full and that there was no room for us, even though there were clearly many free tables. Confused by the number of empty tables I saw, I tried to clarify by asking if what they meant was that the kitchen was closed, as I couldn't understand how they could say the place was full. Even more irritated, he asked me to leave. When I looked around and saw the confused and disapproving faces of some people in the place, I realized that I was facing a clear case of discrimination. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, after eating somewhere else, I passed by the place again about an hour later and confirmed that it was still open, serving people, and with several free tables. I can't believe, and it is truly sad and disconcerting, that places run by people like this...

I have given two stars because of the food which was good but the service is extremely poor. I was with my friends and we weren’t even given the menu until 20 minutes had passed (we had to ask for it) and another 20 minutes until someone came to get our order ( again had to ask for it) The waiter is extremely arrogant towards tourists because he gave us a very cold treatment and deliberately kept us waiting the entire time. Lastly, we had to wait another 15 minutes near the counter to simply pay and no one bothered to attend us. Definitely never visiting this place again and would...

Great food and location but service is poor.

The place was busy. We waited 30 minutes to receive a menu. Then another 20 minutes to receive our appetisers (which were great) then another 30 minutes after we finished eating our appetisers to get our main dishes. The Tartes Flambées were awesome but the poor service really ruined the experience.

The manager was arrogant when we complained about the long wait time saying that this wait time is normal and there's nothing he can do about it. Even when several other guests were served before us.
