MAMA THAÏ — Restaurant in Torcy

We visited this restaurant on the 7th October and ordered Satay Kai, Shrimp Tempura, Chicken spring rolls for starters & Green chicken curry, pad thai for mains. We were 3 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately, we all had food poisoning after our visit. Our holiday was ruined. We tried to contact the restaurant to let them know but they didn’t want to hear about our experience. It is a big no no for us.

2nd Edit - you have left me no option. I am attaching the screenshot of the call and the call duration on 8th October. I am so astonished with your replies showing no concern whatsoever to your customers and don’t even have courtesy to ask how the kids are feeling at least. I REQUEST EVERYONE TO SEE THE OWNERS REPLIES TO THE REVIEWS WITH LOW SCORES AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT A LOW STANDARD THEY HAVE.

Probably the worst dinner experience ever. Due to misunderstandings from the waiter’s site we had received the wrong dish. Though he (the waiter) apologized, the owner/manager must have been not too happy about the situation. He was quick to come up to our table to let us know he won’t change the order and we’re going to have to pay for whatever it was that we didn’t order. After a long discussion and a few more added eye rollings from him he went back to the bar area. When We got up and were ready to leave that’s when the owner apologized (which you can tell wasn’t sincere at all) and ask us to stay. Since it was our last night in France we decided to make the best out of the situation and agreed to staying. We visited Mama Thai not just one evening, but two evenings in a row, and we were really happy with it. Here's why:

We visited Mama Thai after two long days in nearby Disneyland with our children, aged 9 and 12. The food was excellent, all the dishes arrived extremely quickly (which suited us perfectly as we were very hungry), and the service was great.

We had fried noodles, spring rolls, Som Tam, phat kah prao neue, and delicious drinks. Everything tasted outstanding.

The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere, the vibe was great, and the prices were very reasonable.

We paid around 75 euros for food for all four of us, and we left feeling very full.
