Stayed here for a couple of nights while on vacation during mid-December 2022. The hotel is conveniently located near Disneyland Paris if you want to risk riding the metro train a single stop. It is only a few minutes walk between the hotel and the train station.
The hotel is about a 45 to 60 minute car ride from the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triumphe.
The facility is modern, hip, and very well decorated. The lighting and decor was very well thought out. It had a pseudo Las Vegas feel including a sign which read, "What happens at the Moxy stays at the Moxy."
Upon arrival, we noticed that our driver dropped us off on the side of the street because it was not possible to drive directly to the front entrance. The design of the building is like the letter "L" which has a courtyard instead of a convenient drop off area. Be prepared to take your luggage a good 100 feet to reach the entrance. The sidewalk between the street and the entrance was icy due to lingering snowfall two days prior. At this time of the year, the sun does not reach the sidewalk due to the height of the building, so it did not melt or dry up.
After entering, the attendant lady was very courteous and offered us a free beverage. She provided room key cards and directions to our room. The main desk is directly in front of the a bar which also has a serving area on the rear wall for the continental breakfast, coffee, etc... The bar also serves various types of food made in the kitchen. The menu is somewhat limited, but most of the food was fine. Please note that if ordering lunch or dinner, it might take a while. That's just how they do things in Franbce. There are several activity areas with plenty of space to lounge, play pool, etc... If you order the continental breakfast, it is a couple of Euros cheaper if you order it the day prior. An attendant is present to verify you ordered breakfast before allowing you to eat. The selection is decent, but be aware that they might run out of things quickly. The croissants are very fresh and the organic strawberry jelly is fantastic. The coffee/tea maker on the left side of the breakfast area was not working, but an attendant directed me to a second one around the corner on the left.
Once in the elevator, a small sign says to wave the room key over a sensor and watch the magic. Did that, but nothing happened. Had to go back to the attendant and ask how to make the magic work. The trick was to swipe the key and very quickly touch the number for the room floor.
The rooms are small compared to US standards, but they are reasonably comfortable. A full size bed was not available for some reason, but we got a dual twin bed and just moved them together. The rooms have showers only, no tubs. No small refrigerator, safe, or coffee setup was present either. Other than the bed or the toilet, the only place to sit was on a small round leather ottoman. A fold out luggage stand was provided. Instead of a closet to hang clothes and jackets, a bar was hanging off the ceiling with clothes hangers. A large metal mesh was affixed to the wall behind it which contained a small fold-down table and also had clips to hang whatever you wanted. The toilet, sink, and shower area is divided from the room only by a sliding panel door. The power outlets had the traditional round Euro receptacles, but also had USB ports for easy charging of phones.
The lounge areas were actually decent. On one night, the area across from the front desk was packed with people and one guy had a microphone entertaining everyone. Lacking French linguistic skills, I had no idea what was going on, but everyone seemed to be enjoying it.
Overall, it was a decent and affordable place to stay. If you have children, consider calling ahead and asking questions to inquire if they have other rooms which might be larger. Staff was friendly, spoke good English, and was very patient. Be aware of pickpockets (even teenage girls) or bag snatchers when entering or...
Read moreA mixed bag... will start with the good.||The beds were apart from a impossible bed sheet issue described below were comfortable. Room was extremley clean as was the bed, bathroom, furnture etc. The rest of the hotel was very clean too. Room had a fairly genergous amount of electrical sockets which included a USB-B (normal USB socket) and USB-C sockets which was a nice touch. Toileteries (soap, shampoo was included in the bathroom) and lots of towels. Very large TV which had a Chromecast attached so if you had something with you that could attach via HDMI to the Chromecast or wifi send to the TV then you can do that. Being in France most of the tv channels were of course in French, followed by a lot of Arabic channels and I think a few Spanish, German and Italian channels but only one English speaking channel which was BBC World News. Wifi was free and good enough for streaming. ||Rooms has excellent soundproofing.||Bathroom incrediably small but ok, sliding door has no lock on it.||Staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and I even made friends with the ex French Forgien Legion night security guard from Kenya. ||Hotel in general felt very fresh and modern and was trying very hard to be cool / trendy with murals on the walls, funny sayings on cushions and such like. Hotel felt like it was in a safe area and was literally 3 mins away from the train station which is only one stop away from Disneyland (which is way we were there). ||Ok so now for the bad stuff... the room while it looked cool and trendy had next to no surfaces for settings things on and being a family of three we needed some space. There is a shelf under the tv but the tv is about 10mm away from the shelf to render the shelf pretty much useless. The two bedside tables were tiny and literally just about enough room to set a phone while charging it. They had two industrial (and therefore I assume trendy) metal grids on the wall with various useless leather loops on the grid and some hooks for stuff but were mainly served little to no actual use. This lack of useable space honestly would be a deal breaker for us for future visits to the area. It just all smacked of every effort had went into making it look cool instead of form following actual useable function.||The bed base was covered in leather and perhaps our room just had a bad sheet but you only had to look at the bed for the sheet to untuck itself from all four sides never mind actually trying to sleep on the bed. It seemed the sheet was too small for the bed with perhaps 20mm of sheet actually being able to tuck under the mattress which was bad enough but because the bed was leather and therefore slippy the sheet had no chance of ever staying in place for longer than 30 seconds at a time and not the nicest of feelings waking up and realising you have been sleeping on the bare matress most of the night which thankfully was at least clean. Just to be clear I am ex military and I am well versed in how to make up a bed so definately not a user error.||The useable space and bed issue are hotel basics that shouldn't be hard to get right and if as much effort had of being put into trying to make the place look cool as getting the basics of a hotel right then this place would be an absoulte winner.||There is only one very small lift to service 3 floors and no stairs (emergency staircase was only for emegencies and door was alarmed). So a lot of time could be spent waiting on the lift.||There is a pastry shop at the train station around the corner where you can get a crossiant or choc du pain plus orange juice and a coffee for 3.50 euro... absolute bargain for a cheap and quick breakfast on route to Disney. There is a few supermarkets 5 to 10 mins walk away. Hotel is about 45 mins drive from the airport and about 45 mins on the train to the centre of Paris and train to Disney is about 10 mins...

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the front desk staff were unfriendly and seemed to treat guests differently based on their background. Even though we had booked through a third-party platform (like many others checking in), we were told that although our room was ready, we would have to pay an extra £10 just to check in 30–60 minutes early. What made this worse is that I saw other non-Asian (white) guests who also arrived early, weren’t members either, yet were allowed to check in without additional charges. This kind of double standard raises serious concerns about discriminatory behavior and inconsistency in customer service policies. Where is the service standard? The most unacceptable part of the stay happened later that night. When we returned to our room, we found multiple moths flying around – at least two were clearly visible. I have stayed at many hotels and have rarely encountered hygiene issues like this. I went to the front desk to request a room change, and the two women on the night shift blatantly refused me to my face, with a condescending attitude. They told me insects in the room were “normal” and claimed it was likely because a previous guest had left the window open.Instead of offering a proper solution or even showing concern, they simply said they could go upstairs and help me “catch the bugs” if I wanted. That’s not a solution – that’s avoiding responsibility. This lack of empathy and professionalism is absolutely shocking, especially coming from a hotel under the Marriott brand.Worse still, the bedding had a strong body odor, particularly the duvet. It smelled of sweat and had visible hair on it – clearly used by the previous guest and simply re-folded without proper cleaning. This level of hygiene is completely unacceptable. I couldn’t even use the blanket the first night because of the smell. After complaining again, someone eventually came to our room to help catch the insects and change the bedding, but by then it was already very late and I had lost a good portion of the night. I did not get any proper rest, and certainly not the quality of service or cleanliness I expected from this hotel. No apology was ever offered. Not from the staff, not from management, not even the next day. There was zero accountability or hospitality. I will be sharing photos and evidence of this experience with both the third-party platform and review sites to warn other travelers. The level of service, hygiene, and attitude from the staff was disgraceful. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone – especially if you're expecting fair treatment and basic cleanliness. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and it’s unacceptable that a brand like Marriott would allow their name to be associated with such...
