L'Endroit Sanary — Restaurant in Toulon

Visited Friday 19th July with my family.

Having made a booking the previous evening we waited outside until the maitre’d was free. Having told him our reservation name, he rushed around from table to table looking for our name card. Surely he should have had this information to hand in a diary etc. We were pointed to our table & left there. Eventually a waitress came with menus. The children’s menu is practically non existent & this is certainly not a family friendly restaurant.

There was no interaction whatsoever with us. The only smile or any kind of interest was from the nice lady who was serving the outside tables when we were leaving. Nobody even bothered to ask did we enjoy our meal., which actually was quite nice. It is the unfriendliness of the staff that was outstanding here not the food.

We were only an inconvenience to our waitress who was no help to us at all when deciding what to order. A smile would have gone a long way! We may have very little French but we have managed quite well in every other restaurant we’ve been to while in Sanary-sur-Mer. We honestly couldn’t wait to get out of there! We found the staff disinterested and the maitre’d quite rude. While we’ve been in Sanary-sur-Mer we have found everyone to be polite, helpful & generous with this notable exception.

We certainly will not be back & we do not recommend it to anybody...

The pizzas are outstanding. Just don’t order anything else. The “special steak” was awful, inedible. Why have it on the special board?. I can take the hint from the menu which had 3 pages of pizza and half a page with other dishes. However why have it advertised on the special chalk board? It was supposed to be 450grams. It was barely 250 grams. Prawn pasta ok. Half prawns peeled other half not. There was a loan prawn head in the linguine pasta. Just go there for pizza because it is truly special. The waiter to his credit did hint that they are a pizzeria. We had just had pizza the night before and was keen for something else. The pizzas are very well priced and delicious, should have taken the hint. *as an aside we have had steak and red meat in Switzerland, France and Italy and it varies from inedible to poor. Just...

We had a fantastic evening at L’Endroit with our kids. The atmosphere is lively and full of buzz — you can really feel the energy of the place, and the hardworking staff keep everything running smoothly with a smile.

The food was great too. We enjoyed freshly cooked pizzas, and the kids were thrilled with their own Mickey Mouse–shaped pizza, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everything was tasty, fresh, and satisfying. The house rosé was excellent as well — crisp, refreshing, and the perfect match for the meal.

While the food and drinks were spot on, it’s really the ambiance and service that make L’Endroit stand out. Highly recommend if you’re in Sanary-sur-Mer and looking for a fun, vibrant spot to...
