L'Etoile de L'Inde — Restaurant in Toulon

Came to restaurant and ordered takeaway. The waitress wrote everything down on her pad, including cheese nan. LOOOONG wait. While I was waiting a customer came in because restaurant had "forgotten" one of the dishes in her delivery order. In my order, as discovered when I got home, there was only a plain nan (cost 2 euros) although the restaurant had charged for a cheese nan (3.80 euros). And the plain nan tasted like cardboard. Rest of food tasty. So my recommendation would be : very carefully check that you get everything you order...

We went twice to this restaurant. In 2014 we were very happy with the quality of the food and service so we decided to come back one year later. They must have changed the owner in the meantime. This time service wasn't good, food was almost cold when it was served and it had zero flavor. The meat was disgusting and the sauces seemed to come from a jar. Palak Paneer was unfrozen creamed spinach without paneer. Ironically, this was the best part of the dinner although it had nothing to do with Indian food. One of our worst...

I was disappointed dining in this place. When I saw it by the road I was excited to try since I love indian food, the variety of spices in their dish and spicy too. The portions of every dish are too small not équivalent not with it to the price you pay for the dish. No bread accomanied with it like baguette since we are in france. If you want bread you have to pay it separately ans it cost 2.20 euros just for a pièce of bread!!! Its too expensive and not worry for. I wont come and wont recommend...
