Mamma Sam — Restaurant in Toulon

Very pretty restaurant and great atmosphere. One of the staff was lovely (the manager I think), but on the whole they were not very attentive.

I asked for a beer, which never came, so I asked the other waitress, after I paid I realised 2 beers had been put on the bill. They were apologetic and gave me the difference back, but if they’d been a bit more on top of things that wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

The flavours were incredible but risotto rice was raw. I was told maybe it’s too Al dente for me, but I’ve had countless risottos but none that break like chalk under a knife. The Tiramisu, however, was very very good.

Nous sommes venus manger en couple chez Mamma Sam, et c'était délicieux. En entrée, une planche charcuterie/fromage à partager à 19€. Avec des vrais produits italiens, et goûtus, inutile de préciser que c'est sans équivalent sur l'aire toulonnaise, surtout à ce prix. Pour madame, lasagnes aux courgettes, pour moi, conchiglioni au veau et à la sauce tomate légère. Un délice, généreux, assaisonnement parfait, le Chianti était chantant, et la crème chocolat café avec sa chantilly pour le dessert m'a procuré un plaisir rare ces derniers temps. Moins de 90€ à deux en se faisant plaisir avec un cocktail pour l'apéritif, n'hésitez plus et courez-y. Les serveurs étaient adorables, speeds mais attentionnés et à l'écoute. Petit bémol cependant, la chaleur à l'intérieur, mais bon, c'est l'été, et hier il n'y avait pas un brin d'air, donc rien à reprocher au personnel. Delicious lunch in a nice place ! The food was very good and the service was fast. Salmon with polenta and tiramisu were a good choice. The place is close to the train station. They also have Italian products for sale, all showcased in a nice way....
