Le Diam's — Restaurant in Toulon

I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at an incredible restaurant that completely blew us away! From the moment we walked in, we could tell we were in for a treat, and we were not disappointed. The food was nothing short of amazing, with generous portions that looked just as good as the pictures.

The handmade pesto pasta was a standout; it was fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. My companion ordered the salmon, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly fresh. Each bite was a delight!

For dessert, we indulged in the fruit chocolate fondue, which was simply to die for. The combination of fresh fruit and rich chocolate was a perfect ending to our meal.

Our experience was made even more special by our wonderful waiter, Christophe. He was friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout our visit. The entire staff was organized and professional, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant.

We were excited at the idea of eating close to the water in Bandol, but the restaurant has fencing up so that you can’t see the water. The service was friendly. Of the four of us, two of us enjoyed our dinners. The dorade (served whole) was well cooked well, if not particularly flavorful. The fish and chips was decent. The two tuna preparations though (one steak and another tartare) were pretty bad. The steak was overcooked, despite our pleading that it be rare. The flavor was also quite bland. The tartare was more of an overmarinated ceviche, with a strange and unpleasant sauce. I think that there are better places to eat...

Je ne recommande absolument pas cette brasserie. La note de 2,5 sur 5 est justifiée vraiment. Certains serveurs sont sympathiques, d’autres pas un brin comme celui que nous avions eu ce soir. Il était d’un désagréable absolue, nous étions à deux doigts de partir comme un couple a fait 5 minutes avant mais nous ne l’avions par fais par respect car la commande des boissons avait déjà été passer … au final on aurait dû. Nous sommes resté sur notre faim, la salade chèvre n’était absolument pas bonne. J’avais demandé à ce serveur désagréable doté d’un chapeau de paille et un t-shirt bleu de bien me faire cuire les lardons en cuisine pour des raisons personnelles, il m’a d’abord regardé bizarrement comme si c’était son problème et m’a répondu : " oui madame " assez froidement alors que la consigne au final n’a même pas été passé c’est honteux ! J’ai touché aucun lardon de mon assiette car ils étaient clairement pas cuit, ils étaient même presque cru et en étant pas immunisé contre la toxoplasmose ce n’était pas possible pour moi de les manger. Comme la fois d’avant parce que oui nous avons été bête de retenter ici, j’avais demandé la cuisson de mon steak très très cuit, je me suis retrouvé avec un steak presque bleue comme quoi ils s’en balancent de ce qu’on leur demande 😅 ils ont osé me le réchauffer au micro-onde, il était donc imbouffable … 18,90€ une salade de chèvre qui ne vaut pas le coup et surtout que nous n’avons pas mangé 😅 l’entrée je ne préfère pas en parler ça ne sert à rien. C’est très chère pour la qualité qui est médiocre. En clair nous ne reviendrons plus jamais, pourtant nous sommes pas loin de Bandol et une serveuse en particulier était vraiment gentille avec nous et notre bébé mais malgré ça cette brasserie là c’est finit nous ne remettrons plus un pied. Je comprends mieux tout les mauvais avis maintenant...
