We were really disappointed with our experience at this jazz club. We barely lasted 10 minutes because the place was completely packed—every corner was crammed with people. We couldn’t even find a proper spot and ended up stuck in the doorway the whole time. It’s clear they sell way more tickets than the space can actually handle. There are many things I like about Le Taquin, the programming for one is superb, its intimacy, the bar area, the funky crowd. But is does not have that sit down and listen experience. There are two rows of foldable chairs, maybe 20 people can sit. Otherwise you stand and listen, sometimes for an hour and half or more.
