We have just returned home after a fabulous five night Christmas break at this Adagio Aparthotel. As the hotel is new everything was spotless and the reception area created a wonderful first impression upon arrival. ||||All the reception staff were absolutely fantastic and we used to have a little chat with them on a daily basis. We did not pay for the breakfast option but the free hot drinks available were a welcome addition. We can thoroughly recommend the hot chocolate! ||||The room itself was amazing. So spacious and with lots of storage space for your clothes etc. There is an iron and ironing board too. Something we rarely use but is one of those features you like to have “just incase”. The kitchenette area is well equipped with everything you could want including cutlery, plates and pans. There is a microwave and the fridge was big with a small freezer section on top. ||||The bathroom was spotless and again very spacious. Our room had a bathtub with a step in shower. A hairdryer is also provided. ||||The corridors always had a lovely smell too. For those not familiar with Adagio Aparthotels it’s worth noting that housekeeping isn’t a daily occurrence like in other hotels. I think you may be able to pay extra for that but I’m not sure however we do not have a problem with this as it means we don’t have to worry about getting out of the room so the housekeeper can come in. We are capable of tidying up after ourselves and when we ran low on shower gel we just asked at reception. ||||We had a problem with a cancelled train for our journey back to another part of France and the lovely receptionist on duty helped us by ringing an Ibis hotel in Agen to ask if we could leave our luggage there for a few hours as we had a few hours to wait between trains. Unfortunately we did not get her name but she is from the Ukraine if that helps any management reading this as I think she deserves some recognition for excellent customer service. As already mentioned all the staff we encountered were brilliant and helped us with recommendations of restaurants etc. One of which was a place called Gogo Flamingo. Great staff, lovely food and great cocktails! ||||Worth noting there is a free bus which you can get at the end of the street which takes you around the town and runs every 15 minutes. Also in the same area you can catch a free bus to take you to the Casino. They are twenty past the hour all day except 4.20pm and 9.20pm. ||||We will definitely stay here again as we loved Toulouse so much we are seriously thinking of moving nearer therefore we might be doing house hunting trips in the...
Read moreThe location is excellent. Short walk over the bridge to the heart of the old town, or walk to the other end of the street to the Metro station where you can go anywhere in the city very cheaply. Plenty of restaurants very nearby. We had a nice view of the bridge and La Grave.||It’s very convenient having the kitchenette in order to prepare some meals and snacks in your room when you don’t want to go out. We had an apartment with one bedroom and a lounge room which is really nice when you’re staying more than a couple of days. The apartment seemed to be brand new. Everything was shiny and new. Very big bath towels. No separate shampoo and conditioner in the shower, just shower gel, which is supposed to be shampoo as well but I don’t recommend using it as such. ||My only complaint is that there is a HUGE step up into the combined bathtub / shower. The step was above my knees, and I’m tall. There was no non-slip mat for the tub so it’s very dangerous stepping into and especially out of the bathtub/shower. If you are short or have any sort of mobility issue you’ll want to ask for a step stool or a room without a tub. My conditioner made the tub very, very slippery. I had to put a towel in the tub after showering in order to step out but still slipped around. Be very, very careful! ||There was construction work going on outside of our window, with lots of heavy machinery. The double-glazed windows kept out most of the noise but you might want to ask for a room not facing that side of the hotel. We actually enjoyed watching the workers. ||I always book and Aparthotel when available so I highly recommend this one (unless you have any...
Read moreThis has been a wonderful place to stay!!! It has been very thoughtfully designed, and it is very comfortable with everything we could need. It was very dark and quiet in the rooms which made us extremely happy. We even did laundry with ease while here. Their laundry system is very cool. I love how eco friendly the rooms are, and they included everything we needed to cook and prepare meals as well as drinks. And it provides parking as well. The location is very convenient! We could walk everywhere while here, except for driving to work. And I was able to work from the room as well as from the lobby. There are great places here for remote workers to get work done well. It is very thoughtful that they offer free coffee and tea and orange water etc in the lobby. And the staff really was wonderful! They're all very nice, and very helpful. The breakfast was also very good/diverse, thank you. Our only challenge while here is that our room was a bit too warm, and we felt uncomfortable due to that. We were not able to adjust it to be cool enough for what we prefer and are used to. Other than that, our stay here has been extremely nice! We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again when we return for work. Thank you to the friendly...
