This restaurant is not Italian and unfortunately not good. When we arrived we were seated on the ground floor of the restaurant that looks horrible and was freezing since cold air is leaking in and we even had plastic flowers next to our table. My wife asked if we could sit upstairs with the answer "I can give you a blanket". We explained that either we sit upstairs or we leave so eventually we could move. The food has absolutely nothing to do with Italy (my wife is Italian so we know what we are talking about). We toke different meats and hers was served with tagliatelle! Why is it so difficult to understand that pasta is a dish (primi) and not a side dish! I ordered filé mignon and it was cold. The chef came to our table (nice touch) and we had a friendly chitchat. He heard we had an accent when speaking French and asked where we are from and we explained that I'm from Sweden and my wife from Italy. When he heard the my wife is Italian he simply turned around and let us... After dinner we had coffee and it was the classic French weak coffee. I sent the first 2 cups back because I could see the buttom of the cup through the coffee and the second cup wasn't much better. Expresso is supposed to be strong, it's not that difficult! So, this is NOT an Italian restaurant (even the name of Leonardo da Vinci is spelled wrong and in French) and and they have no idea or knowledge about Italian cooking and I can not...
Read moreIn short, I would not even want to give a star (but that’s the minimum as required by Google). I originally booked for 5ppax at 8:30pm and was accepted by the restaurant; however, when I arrived there with my family including my parents, they said the booking was changed to 9pm (without telling me in advance / seeking my consent). After standing outside for half an hour and seeing several empty tables outside which didn’t seem to be reserved, we were finally let into the restaurant. When my sister asked the manager in French why there were a few tables that have been empty but we were told to wait instead, the manager rudely interrupted her and spoke rapid French to make her stop (as she’s not native) - this was clearly a case of discrimination and we clearly felt disrespected. It’s sad to see how a popular restaurant in such beautiful city would discomfort its customers in every...
