Lazy Susy is an absolute culinary gem that I recently had the pleasure of visiting, and it's safe to say that it left an indelible mark on my taste buds. Tucked away in a charming corner of the city, this restaurant exudes a cozy, laid-back vibe that perfectly complements its name.
Upon perusing the menu, one item immediately caught my attention - the Pulled Pork Burger. I had heard whispers of its legendary status, and it did not disappoint. The burger arrived at my table, and it was a sight to behold. The perfectly toasted brioche bun held a generous mound of succulent, slow-cooked pulled pork, slathered in a rich, smoky barbecue sauce that had just the right amount of tanginess. The meat was tender, practically melting in my mouth, with a delectable smokiness that made it truly exceptional.
Accompanying the burger were a mound of perfectly crisp, golden-brown fries and a side of coleslaw that provided a refreshing contrast to the richness of the pork. The combination was nothing short of heavenly.
The ambiance at Lazy Susy was equally remarkable, with warm lighting, rustic decor, and an attentive staff that added to the overall dining experience. The staff's knowledge and enthusiasm about the food were particularly noteworthy, as they could recommend the perfect wine pairing for my meal.
To cap off this gastronomic journey, I couldn't resist ordering their dessert – a velvety chocolate lava cake. The warm, gooey center oozed out as I dug my fork in, and it was an exquisite ending to a memorable meal.
Lazy Susy is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful culinary adventure. If you're a fan of Pulled Pork Burgers, be prepared for a life-changing experience. The combination of exceptional food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service make Lazy Susy a true gem in the world of dining. I can't wait to return and savor the Pulled Pork...
Read moreWe visited tours on June 6th, 2024 and found this restaurant in the old town. The owner greeted us as we were reviewing the menu. He was very enthusiastic about his pulled pork sandwiches that are based on Texas Pulled pork sandwiches but have a completely new French influence. We ordered the cheese Pulled pork sandwich with fries and his mayonnaise sauce. I have had pulled pork sandwiches from Arkansas and Kansas so I was not expecting to be impressed. However, this is one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had. The pork was juicy and flavorful and extremely tender. The cheese gave it a spicy flavor and the french fries were so fresh and tender with a beautiful crispy coating that was light and airy and so tasty that I was sad that I couldn't eat anymore. We will be in France for about a month and are visiting from Michigan. Our plan is to return to this restaurant...
Read moreUs Americans love our BBQ and this place did not disappoint. The food was good, but what really sold me was the atmosphere. I walked by this place in the morning and it was so cute that I had to come back for dinner. The outdoor patio is hip but also quaint, and the inside is adorable. The food was quick and fast, but the most fun part of this whole place is the bathroom (see pics). Definitely will...
