Le Marché Gourmand — Restaurant in Tours

Ummm it’s a pity it was not so good. I feel sorry but that’s what I thought really.

What can I say, I did not see “cooking” in their dishes. I don’t say it was all bad but it was really bof…. 3 dishes for 29€ for this quality is too expensive. The restaurant is packed so many people like going there, but not for us. I prefer go somewhere else with the same price or even less.

The service was nice and polite that’s only the good thing in this restaurant.

——— So the owner replied to this comment. I understand what the owner wants to say. But I know ikea and restaurants are different. We don’t expect “woooow” to ikea. We expect as much as good like ikea. Sometimes we are satisfied with Burger King. Because we know what we’re having.

But for the restaurants we pay 29euros, we should had more. We could think the value of 29euros. That’s all.

For us, it was not good as we were expected unfortunately.

The food was disappointing. There was no one inside, we could have took it into account but we followed the reviews. The service was good, but they didn’t know english very well and it made our visit difficult. The gazpacho was good, along with carpaccio. The salads were very spicy, a bad sauce. Even the baguettes were too tough to eat. The entrecôte also had a bad sauce, the tagliatelle was disgusting and the fish… just normal, following the prawn were inedible. The only thing which was good was the wine and service, that’s one...

We booked a table at this place because it had good reviews. There were eight of us and we each ordered a main course; in my case, I had the braised pork fillet. Others ordered beef fillet, duck breast… The food was fine, but nothing spectacular. The desserts, however, were quite good. As for the atmosphere, nothing worth mentioning, except that we were seated inside at a rather small table since they couldn’t seat us on the terrace. The value for money is acceptable,...
