We recently had the pleasure of dining here on New Year’s Eve, a quaint Lebanese restaurant in Troyes. They were kind enough to take our reservation last minute. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who took the time to explain the various dishes and make recommendations. The menu was extensive, with a wide variety of traditional Lebanese dishes to choose from. We started with the mezze platter, which included a selection of dips, salads, and kibbeh. The hummus was creamy and rich, while the tabbouleh was fresh and flavorful. The kibbeh was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. All this served along with soft pita bread. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Au Libanais which is family run restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Lebanese dining experience. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding.

From the delicate touch of rose water in the house-made lemonade, and the fresh carrots sprinkled with cumin, salt and lemon juice as a starter, every note in our dinner was pitch-perfect. We finished every drop of the sauces—the fluffy fresh garlic sauce for the marinated chicken and the tahini sauce for the beef shawarma—with our pita bread. The cheese cigars were big enough to not leave you longing for more, and the sausages perfectly spiced. The salads, fattoush and taboulé, were fresh. Dessert, almond baklava and mhabalia custard, were heavenly. Plus, owner Alexis Najem, opened Au Libanais on the site of a former Lebanese restaurant 5 months ago, brought us a Lebanese infusion of verbena, rose and other plants. If I lived in Troyes, I would be there at least twice a week! Not surprising that Alexis says already 60% of their customers are repeats. One taste of their food and you will be too!

Liverpool to Libanais Jan 2025 • couples Stopped here on route from Liverpool to the Alps. What a jewel of a find, authentic, delicious food, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The proprietor was welcoming and helpful in recommendations as we had never eaten this food before! Full if flavours, not spicy and great choices on the menu. We had the mezze and were not disappointed. The date juice and pine nuts drink was sweet and homemade lemonade refreshing. Delicious almond, sweet dessert. The music created the perfect atmosphere and clean dining area. At 52€ for two, we had more than enough food and would thoroughly recommend a detour to visit here.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly tasty, and the juices were fresh and delicious. We ordered shawarma for the kids and a sandwich for myself, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared.

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We were on our way to Zurich and noticed that many restaurants close around 2-3 pm, so we called ahead. The team kindly prepared everything for us before we arrived, which was so thoughtful.

Despite being in a rush before their closing time, they went above and beyond. When my daughter accidentally spilled her juice (my fault), they graciously offered a replacement at no extra charge, which we greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through. You won't be disappointed by the food, service, or...
