Ornament Express — Restaurant in Mtskheta

I am extremely disappointed with Ornament Express and will not be returning. This place has completely lost its charm and quality. We ordered one burger, one khachapuri, an Americano, and a Coca-Cola, and the bill came to an outrageous 100 lari. Charging 5 lari for a single Coke is absurd, even for a restaurant.

To make matters worse, the atmosphere was unbearable. We visited in November, and the doors were wide open, leaving the inside freezing cold. We had to keep our coats on the entire time, which made for an incredibly uncomfortable experience.

The service was terrible—no greeting when we arrived, no "goodbye" when we left, and no effort to make the experience even slightly enjoyable. For these prices, I would expect not just better food but also better service and a comfortable environment.

I used to love this place and come here with family, it was getting more and more expensive during time, but today nothing was worth of it. It was very cold outside, but still the balcony door was opened and when I asked the staff to close it because I was feeling cold and couldn't sit without coat, the answer was that the ventilation system didn't work and they had to do it otherwise we would feel the smell of the dishes. We ordered khachapuri, french fries and burger, khachapuri was very salty, fries were good, but we had to wait for the burger for 50 minutes and it was very small and cold, no worth of the price. Anyway, never visiting again, only good thing there was the view of Svetitskhoveli, but we can look at it from outside as well. Sadly, my favourite place became disappointment...

Just wow! Best view overlooking 2 churches, delicious food, wonderful staff and cats running around the terrace trying to convince you to share your food. Options to sit inside in a cozy setting or outside on a spacious terrace.

Try: salad with pumpkin and blue cheese (if you’ve been largely indulging in khachapuri and khinkali your body will thank you for this yummy healthy salad) khachapuri (cheese pie with cheese inside and slices of cheese on top) chicken with creamy garlic sauce Fried ghomi balls with bazha (cornflour and water porridge that’s been fried served with a nut sauce)

Skip: kebab (despite carrying the name of the cafe, it’s very dry) Pomegranate lemonade
